Stainless steel sponge cleans down to the original surface. Ideal for cleaning rust from loading dies, bullet molds, and guns without damaging the bluing. Won’t leave steel whiskers like steel wool. Cut up and wrap around jags or bore brushes to scrape plastic fouling out of shotgun barrels, or lead and powder gunk out of black powder rifles and pistols. Sponge won’t rust and can be cleaned for multiple uses. SPECS: Stainless steel. Sold in paks of two sponges.

Doesn't remove the bluing

This is much better than steel wool to remove rust and slight blemishes. Won't remove the bluing like steel wool will. I use it with Eezox

Over priced product

Product works very well to remove surface rust and to clean up the gun finish using small amounts of gun oil with it.this is a general purpose cleaning product for metal . Smaller pads than expected for the price . Product is over priced for what you get.

a bit smaller than I expected

These are a bit small, about the size of a canned biscuit...too small for [$]Having used larger, coarser stainless pads I've found they last a very long time, and there's never a problem with rust stains when used wet.No problem with the product, only the size.
