SMITH & WESSON SIGHT NUT SPANNER

SMITH & WESSON SIGHT NUT SPANNER Reviews & Ratings

SMITH & WESSON SIGHT NUT SPANNER 2 PACK

MAGNA-TIP®
Bit, made to fit the windage nut that secures the S&W rear sight leaf. To use: Drill out staking, hold nut with Spanner and unscrew the screw. To install: Hold new nut with Spanner and seat screw. Always turn the screw; never the nut. Because it is fragile, and can break if you turn it, the Spanner is not guaranteed against breakage.

SPECIFICATIONS:
  • 2 Hardened Steel MAGNA-TIP Bits
  • Purposely Shaped for S&W Rear Leaf Sight Windage Nut
  • Length: 1-1/4"
  • 1/4" Drive

Works like old one that broke.
This is a very breakage likely product and is so due to the nature of the sites that isn't it is intended to be used on. Really nothing that I can think of that Brown house can't do to alter the product to make it less breakable.

THE spanner wrench for that S&W rear sight blade replacement job
NOT for the ham-handed, just the thing for that S&W adjustable rear sight blade replacement job; the RIGHT tool to tighten that tiny retention nut that need a small fine spanner wench, and a delicate touch to do it. NOT the place to use excessive force! Brownell's send you TWO of these, knowing a good many folks will use too much force and bend the thing up, and break the tines off trying to straighten them. Work well if you follow proper procedure.

Nice Little Tool
I used it to replace the rear sight blade on my S&W model 19. The forks are a tight fit but I was able to wiggle them into the slots. I only needed one. Be sure and check out the Brownells excellent tutorial video!
