I think my kit was missing the channel liner. This was my first assembly so I might have missed it and lost it, but I really think it was missing. The firing pin safety plunger has a different shape (rounder) than OEM which might be causing occasional difficulty putting the slide on the frame. It fires quite well with Sellier & Bellot and CCI 115 grain rounds. No other issues so far with minimal testing. I will update if it has trouble.
Missing a part, but Brownells came thru
Parts bag came sealed from Lone Wolf missing the firing pin safety. Brownells sent a replacement safety the next day! The remaining parts all worked appropriately, though the channel sleeve was a touch tight. A good price for the parts you get, just to get that pistol going.
Nice to have all parts needed
I bought this kit in March 2016 so that I'd have all the parts and pieces in hand once I finally bought a Lone Wolf G22 Slide. I could have bought the parts individually a little cheaper (brownells Edge member), but most of the time one or more of these parts are on back order, so it's nice to have a single bag that has all the parts I need. The good: * The parts are high quality, * The plastics are different color than OEM so you can easily tell which gun has which parts in it, * Marine Cups (which Glock doesn't sell to civilians), * Mid-weight striker. The bad: My kit was missing the firing pin safety spring. I poured all the parts in an empty small plastic tote so that I wouldn't lose any. When I got to installing the Firing Pin Safety in the slide, I noticed I was out of springs. Luckily I had spares from a Wolff Spring Kit for Glock, so I could complete my build. It's not worth fixing this issue with Brownells or Lone Wolf, but if you buy one of these, check it before your build to make sure you got 100% of the parts you paid for. This is the reason I've only given this 4 stars. I would have definitely rated it 5 stars had the spring been included.
Lite primere strikes
All parts were acounted for and shipping was good. Completed my build and to the range I go. At least 1 out of every 3 shots would miss fire, but it would fire on the second shot. Put a Glock firing pin sping in and no more isues. When you compare the 2 springs you could feel the diffence in the force it took to compress the springs.
Light primer strikes
This kit comes with a light striker spring for a lighter trigger pull. This resulted in a lot of light primer strikes. The channel liner is lower quality than OEM. I ended up replacing most of the parts from this kit with factory parts.
some fitting required
Most of this kit worked out great, but the rear slide cover wouldnt go on, traced to a plunger that was a hair out of spec. It had to be fitted but went together with some minor sanding and filing.
Low Quality, Replaced Several Parts
I built out a Swenson slide with this completion kit on a P80 frame. This is my second slide build, so I know that the frame is not the issue. The firing pin included in this set has a round edge where my old firing pin has a flat edge. This was causing my trigger to catch and not release the firing pin. I fixed it with a dremel and removed the round edge. I had a problem with the firing pin spacer getting locked up and it was very difficult to remove the slide cover. By fixing this issue, I had to replace the channel liner, firing pin spacer and slide cover. Overall, I spent much more on this kit than just buying a premium slide kit straight away, very unimpressed. I like LWD products in general, but this kit is disappointing.
Worst slide parts kit ever
This is the worst slide kit Ive ever purchased, the firing pin was oversized for the slide I was build out. Thinking it might be a slide tolerance issue I tried it with two more slides same problem. The spring cups seem to be oversized as well because with a factory Glock firing pin I still had a lot of pressure trying to slide the assembly into the channel liner. I ultimately bought factory spring cups as I didnt have any handy and no problem after that. The extractor was also very tight and required minor filing but nothing terrible. I am seriously disappointed with this kit.
LWD
This review is about Lone Wolf Distributors, not Brownells. The parts kits is terrible, it is poorly made, needs fitting on some of the parts. This is why this is available for $79 while the OEM Glock internal parts sets are sold out for now. I highly suggest not buying LWD products.
