One of the most effective moisture absorbers ever developed. These man-made crystals prevent rust, mildew, corrosion, and tarnish before they start by literally "sucking up" and safely holding the moisture that causes them. Yet, the crystals stay dry to the touch, will not harm or dampen any surface even when saturated. When built-in indicator changes from blue to pink, the crystals have all the moisture they can hold, and are easily reactivated by heating in a conventional oven for 3 hours. The crystals can be reactivated over and over again, giving you a lifetime of protection from the destructive effect of dampness. Gives longest time between reactivations when used in enclosed areas and containers. Just right!

The 40g version comes in a nice, thin, aluminum container with lots of small holes for air circulation, and a window so you can see when the color has changed to pink, indicating the pack needs to be put in the oven and dried out. These are just right for putting in a sealed Pelican gun case (or similar) to keep the internal humidity level down.

These work.

I have used these for years in 2 safes. Never had a humidity problem.

Great stuff

I store all my ammo in 50 cal and 40mm ammo cans. I started off just protecting surplus ammo with these little packs, and then expanded to ammo in fiberboard packs, and now I protect everything with 2 packs in each can which I change twice a year wither then need it or not. I've some packs that I've recharged a half dozen time with no problem. I keep the recharged packs in an ammo can until I need them.

Great item

I use one of these in each safe. They do work great. After several years, and even with safes sitting near a floor drain, I never have any rust problems on my guns. I highly recommend these.

All arrived in good shape & individually sealed. Upon taking them out of the sealed pkg, several box indicators quickly turned "pink" and needed to be reactivated/dehydrated. After reactivating, all appear to be working normally.

Great Product... Little misleading!!

Ideal for my gun safe! I was a little mislead, and I thought the aluminum can came with it. It is just the box with a bag inside the box. I wish I would have been aware of that and I would have upgraded to the beads and canister!
