At last! Factory grade, ready-to-install, 4140 chrome moly barrels in popular calibers at a price that puts a custom-built sporter on a Mauser 98 action within everyone’s reach. Compact, 24' length is great for fast-handling hunting rifles. Stress-relieved, button-rifled, right-hand twist barrels are short chambered, crowned, and fully threaded. All you have to do is finish chambering, set the headspace, and polish and blue the exterior. SPECS: 4140 chrome moly steel, in-the-white. 1.1'-12tpi; “V”-type thread. 24' (61cm) long, 1.15' (2.9cm) diameter at breech, .57' (1.5cm) diameter at muzzle.

Excellent workmanship and fit.

I purchased one of these barrels in 6.5x55 Swede several years ago. Upon receipt, I borescoped the barrel and was pleased with the finish inside the bore. Not a rough spot to be found. Getting the rifle project finished was a breeze, and at the range I was not disappointed with the results. These barrels may be inexpensive, but they are NOT cheaply made. Great value!

Great value!

I put one of the 308 barrels on a scout rifle I built on a DWM 1908 Mauser action. Shooting Barnes 150gr. TTSX BT bullets over Varget powder, I got a 5 shot 1 1/4" group. A little more tinkering with the load and the rifle would probably get me down to 1" groups. considering the bargain price, I'm very pleased with the accuracy and finish of this barrel .

25-06 Barrel

Building a 25-06 platform for a customer based on a Mauser receiver, the fit was perfect, of course have to do some minor chamber finishing, but it turned out great. The price was great, shipping was quick. Brownell's always comes through.

Exceeded expectations

The barrel exceeded my expectations. It was easy to install on my Mk X, Interarms action. The chamber needed just a touch with the reamer. The machining quality was top notch. Cearecoted everything matte black and it looks great! Super good value. Range test is next.

Exactly as I expected. Great value and works just fine if you take your time and fit it and finish head spacing with care. I have not done a final fit as I am going to fit a muzzle break and rust blue all the parts before final install.... It is for my 10 year old grandson- he should get plenty of rounds of enjoyment from it when I hand it over.

Good Value

These barrels are a great value and with the proper chambering and bedding 1" groups are certainly possible. My only complaint is I wish they had a 35 Whelen. They do require some cleanup, if you are going to blue them.

6.5x55

threads are tight, so good fit. Getting a 6.5x55 Chamber reamer to take out .050" is not a problem.
