AICS pattern Short Action Metal Magazines from MDT Sporting Goods give you a distinct advantage when shooting prone thanks to their unique Double Stack to Single Feed design which reduces overall magazine height. Manufactured from high strength steel, these Short Action Metal Magazines have a Cerakote® finish inside and out for superior durability and corrosion resistance, with minimal friction.

Magazines equipped with Front Binder Plates hold the cartridges back from the front of the magazines, guiding them past the bottom of the feed ramp for smoother feeding. These mags are compatible with all rifles equipped with AICS-pattern bottom metal or chassis systems. Binder plate mags give a max cartridge length of 2.870”.

MDT Steel Binder plate version 10rd Mag

Have a bit of a Frankenstein combo have a Bergara Stock & DBM with Rem 700 action in 308 - The MDT Binder plate version 10rds. It cycles and fits the system well, the only thing I see is after loading all 10 rds you need to look at top round is sitting correctly before inserting into stock, it can sit a bit nose down. Did not have any issues loading all 10 rounds - Tried a 5rd polymer mag from a major competitor didn't not work at all, very loose in DBM system and would not cycle without jamming.

Nice. Fits MPA BA chassis well

The magazine(s) seem very well built. Bought to use in my MasterPiece Arms BA chassis and they fit very well. They insert easily and eject perfectly. I would recommend these.

Fit is the way it should fit.

I bought this to troubleshoot a poor fitting polymer magazine and did not know where the problem was, turns out it was the poor fitting polymer magazine. I have no feed problems anymore. It is durable, loads well, and well worth the price considering the critical function it performs. I would recommend this magazine.

Great 9 Round Magazine

This is a well built magazine and feeds well (6.5 creedmoor / Savage 110 action). My only problem with it is that it only functions well with 9 rounds loaded. When I load 10 rounds, the first round will not feed without significant force on the bolt. I would buy a 12 rounder, but California considers this "large capacity". If you live in a free state, buy the 12 round version.

MPA Hybrid Chassis MDT vs AI

Had to slightly modify the feed lips to get reliable feeding but I had to do that on every mag fwiw. The way this magazine feeds at a slight upward angle lets me load to 2.90 COAL using Berger hybrid 140s in my 6.5 CM and make it past the feed lip every time on my Curtis custom action. With AI mag I was getting intermittent hangs on the feed lip. Not saying AI won't work at Max COAL for the mag, just that compared to my MDT, the MDT did it better consistently. 10 rounds of 6.5 CM are snug in the MDT. The 10th round requires some pressure but it's manageable. I am picking up a 12 rounder to evaluate that as well.as I'd like to have an easier time with that 10th round.
