Boyt?
When I opened the box, I immediately thought Brownells sent me the wrong product. I ordered a Boyt Shooting Matt and not a Bob Allen. But, on closer examination, it seems they are the same company. Regardless, it seems to be a decent shooting Matt. I used it in the desert on hot sand, rocks and weeds, and it certainly serves the intended purpose. I’m confident that it will hold up for years. I’ve used tarps and cardboard as shooting Matt’s, but this is a much better option. It rolls up and the straps and buckles keep it compact. It’s lite enough that I could carry it (sling it) when hunting. Good purchase.

Great Shooting Mat, Terrible sleeping bag
One of my buddies has this shooting mat and we thought it'd be funny to prank our kids and tell them it was a sleeping bag and then watch them spend 10 minutes trying to figure out how to get inside of it that's pretty funny. anyway the mat is actually really nice while made very comfortable especially if you're on a concrete pad at outdoor range this is definitely helpful and comfortable because of the quality and the materials I would definitely recommend it.

Bout mat
Ive used this mat seven times now shooting off a concrete pad as well as on top of gravel and stone. Excellent comfort and elbow protection. Light weight with good sized straps and buckles.

Good Quality
It says 27" x 85". I was surprised, but it fit me just fine. Prone position with my elbows in my natural shooting position was just fine with room to spare. The padding was perfect for some of the rocky terrain I end up shooting on. AND, it was very light. The thing rolls up the full width, so it is not as compact as some I have seen, but the padding is worth it. Also looks like the fabric it is made of will withstand rough treatment. I like it.

Excellent Mat
I have been using this mat for Appleseed events, both for myself and as a loaner. It isn't he widest but it is very comfortable to shoot from (enough padding), cleans up well, is lightweight, and is attractive. Would highly recommend.

Great For The Price!
Got this on Sale at Brownell's. I have used it about a dozen times on concrete and in the brush. It is durable, comfortable and lightweight. I love the fastex buckles on the retention straps. I have owned mats that cost three times what this mat cost that were not as good.

Good Basic Shooting Mat
Made from Closed Cell foam and covered in Poly material with an none-slip surface, at 5'10" I have no problem getting behind my rifle and being comfortable on this mat, from concrete to gravel, in the brush or on the back deck. There are several items missing that would make this mat exceptional, one, aluminum vs plastic clasps, Grommet spike holes in the corners, a Bipod Stop fabric lip (I use the shoulder strap to in it place). The mat does roll up and the straps do hold, but it is 27" wide and 8-10" in diameter. For the price, this is better than expected.
