An Excellent Cleaner
Having used many types of bore solvents over 60+ years of shooting, hunting, competing, this is the most versatile cleaner I have found. Works on copper fouling, lead build-up, shot collar fouling, and carbon fouling from certain powders. There are lots of specialized cleaners available and all of those work well, but if looking to keep life simple, Shooter's Choice is a "Reliable Go To" cleaner that does it all. Shoot Clean & Safe!

My go-to solvent for general cleaning
I use MC-7 to remove carbon from all firearm parts, not just barrel bores. It's fairly inexpensive, and works very well on carbon deposits. As mentioned in other reviews, you should use another copper fouling remover after cleaning barrels with MC-7. It will remove light amounts of copper, but not heavy deposits. When cleaning barrels, I use MC-7, followed by Boretech Eliminator. With this combination, you will have a very clean bore. I use a nylon brush, no need for a metal brush. MC-7 works very well on AR-15 bolt carriers, and bolts. I have a small part washing tub (purchased from Brownells), that has a 3-4 cup reservoir, which I keep filled with MC-7 for all cleaning needs.
Go-to Bore Cleaner
I have used this for several years, and is my favorite bore cleaner. It does the job as well as or better than others that I have used, and is part of a system including oil and copper remover.
One of the best
As an Armorer with a large Sheriffs department, I clean a lot of guns. Since I dispize the odor of ammonia, I looked for a cleaner without that sickening smell. I tried several cleaners out there and they were just ok. When I finally tried Shooters Choice bore cleaner, I knew I had a winner. There is no foul oder and this stuff is one powerful solution. Like it tells you, let it sit in the bore for 5 minutes before you start scrubbing. When I ran my first patch through the bore I was shocked. The metals and crud that came out was unreal. Use it as directed and you will be very happy with the results. This stuff is not one of those gimmick cleaners, its the real stuff. Just clean it all out of the bore when you are finished. Its not made to be left in the bore for storage.
Great Bore Cleaner
Unless your bore is already broken in, you will need a separate copper solvent. This product will remove light copper fouling only. And, of course, use a rod bore guide for rifles to avoid mess.
I use this stuff exclusively
The only time I EVER use anything else is when I run out of this and I have guns that need cleaning and I can't lay my hands on some of this right away. Other wise it's Shooters CHoice for me! This stuff works wonders at getting metal fouling and plastic wad fouling out of my shotguns after a long day shooting trap too. Leaves the bore of my guns clean and bright. I have used this to clean up guns that have been traded in when I used to own a small gun shop that I didn't hold out much hope for and they cleaned up just fine a lot of the time. Amazing stuff that cleans up copper fouling that other older solvents used to leave behind. NUFF SAID>
Removes crud with little effort.
You can pour over trigger group, let sit for five minutes and remove with brake cleaner. Then re-oil trigger group with micro-oiler bottle and you have "no" lost parts like springs and pins and ect. that fly away to areas unknown.
