It's hard to get excited about a shellholder, but when it comes to .38 Super, some companies don't make one specifically cut for the oddball Super semi-rim. That makes it sloppy. RCBS makes this specifically for the .38 Super - and as such, cases fit correctly. It also works for several of the .38 "rimless" rounds - notably the .38 Super Comp. However, if you're reloading one of these rimless rounds exclusively, there may be a better fit.
Good Choice
For some reason the majority of my shellholders are RCBS. Good stuff at a good price. Never an issue.
RCBS - their usual good quality work
Brownells shipped it right away, but best of all they had it in stock. As to the shell holder, it was a little tight going onto the ram, but a little oil helped it slide right on. I gave it only 4 stars because it was so tight going onto my RCBS press. But, I'd rather it be a little too tight than too loose. Best of all would be for ti to be just right.
