Love-'em !

Love everything about this item especially that it ejects when charging the handle or bolt to put in a round. got a couple of .223's , one for my 300 blk out , 12ga , and my AK47. Have not had a problem with any of them.

Personal use

I have observed this used professionally without complaint or failure. My opinion is that it is the best method of ensuring that the chamber is empty while allowing the user to quickly go "hot" by cycling the firearm.

I use these professionally...

I work in a law.enforcement environment on a force of nearly 200 officers and these live round excluders are great. They give visual verification that the chamber is empty until you need to chamber a round and then it is instantly ejected when you cycle the action. I've never seen one break even in high round count qualification where the bolt is repeatedly slammed shut on them at the end of each stage. I've used the same one in my duty M4 for 14 years without a.problem. I use them in my personal 5.56 rifles as well and wish Brownells carried them in 7.62x39. Hint - hint...

Be careful if using with a semi-auto

Be careful if you plan on using this chamber flag with a semi-auto shotgun; the bolt closing at full speed can snap the flag off. Otherwise a solid product.

Doesn't work if shotgun is pointed up

Purchased for my Remington 870 12 gauge pump shotgun. If the gun is held vertically (pointed up) the pump action slides open and the safety flag falls out.
