Need it if anything goes wrong
Bought this to make sure I wouldn't mar my Uberti Cimarron 1873 SAA if the base pin stuck. Fast service and I got it before the planned date to visit the range with the SAA for the first time. Didn't need it (yet). It is a necessary tool to preserve the gun if anything does go wrong and having it just in case is a wise investment. I have two SAA's now and this is perfect for peace of mind

I found a new use for this wonderful too
I found some old old plastic type 1" fiberious packing tape. I neatly wrapped it around the Ruger end of this tool. I now use it as wedge puller on conversion and black powder revolvers. This tool has improved my life. A must for every cowboy shooter.

One Arm shooter approved !!!!
I bought this tool back in 2012/13 , I think ? If you own an Uberti Cattleman or an Uberti "Outlaw" 1875 , this one is for you. I have never heard of any Ruger with a stuck base pin. This shape of this tool in your hand is the best reason to buy it. I put the cylinder of the revolver on top of my left foot and I hold the revolver steady with my right foot. Then I pull the pin right out, not. Most of the time , I am not holding my mouth right. It is not easy for me , I do not quit. After a little cussin , then it slides right out. I love this tool. My favorite tool , period ! Don't settle for the cheap flat $20 tool. It is all about the shape of the tool.
