The Magpul X-22 Backpacker stock takes the function of Magpul’s full-sized Hunter X-22 Takedown and pares it down for ease of storage and transportation. Made for the Ruger® 10/22 Takedown® rifle, the X-22 Backpacker offers a minimalist solution for the hunter or outdoorsman who wants to transport their rifle in an efficient, convenient package without compromising shooting performance.

Constructed of durable advanced polymer, the X-22 Backpacker features an ergonomic hand guard, optional QD sling mounting capability, integrated storage compartment in the grip, a hinged storage compartment in the stock capable of storing up to three spare 10-round magazines, an MOE SL non-slip rubber butt pad, and a unique locking interface to attach the barrel assembly to the receiver when being transported.

Fits all Ruger® 10/22 Takedown® rifles as well as the Tactical Solutions SBX barrel.

Nice upgrade for 10/22 takedown

I wanted this stock on my rifle but wasn't going to trade in and buy new gun just for that feature. Saw one fir sale recently at another gun retailer and decided to order. Was easy and straightforward to install, tried both stock check covers, decided I liked one better. Only thing ti be aware, because it is a nesting stock, forearm is very short but still usable. The ability to store extra loaded magazines in stock males for excellent truck / trunk gun

Unique Stock....

This stock was installed on my Ruger 10/22 Takedown model 11125, It took longer to locate the hex keys to remove the screws in the rifle than the entire replacement. This stock helps to reduce the overall size of the disassembled rifle for much easier backpack carry and storage. The ability to store three 10 round rotary magazines inside of the buttstock is another benefit. Magpul has several add-ons for this kit including a scope mount and swivel attach points. This is a great option for a minimalist stock for campers, backpackers, or survivalists. Buy this stock.

Absolutely wonderful fit and finish. Once again Magpul comes through with an excellent quality product and Brownells shipping was fast. The installation was easy and took less than 10 minutes. Much better fit than the factory stock and it adds a new dimension to the ability to pack the rifle away.
