RUGER 10/22 STOCK THUMBHOLE Reviews & Ratings
Looks great but feels fantastic!
I got this on sale being the deciding factor. The grain is gorgeous with precise & beautiful checkering. For me, I enjoy the comb & the palm swell is perfect. Drop-in installation proved accurate with a Ruger reciever, Timney trigger, & ER Shaw barrel. The weight was noticeable lighter than expected. Sadly with longer arms & a bipod on the available real estate on the fore end can be limited. HOWEVER I would 110% recommend stock as the grain is beautiful & it feels so comfortable it became a extension of me!
Great
This stock looks great. I matches my Flat Dark Earth receiver and barrel, and the cheek riser is perfect for low ring mounts, and brings the scope perfectly into eye level. I personally had a problem, but that is because I have an after marker trigger group installed, a KIDD 10/22 complete receiver. IF YOU DO HAVE THIS, you will need to do one of two things: Either mill down the KIDD trigger group, the little extrusion behind and above the trigger, slightly making it a tighter round, and slightly shorter... OR you can sand the inside of the stock to make it fit.
great stock
fit like a glove! great stock makes an old 10/22 look like a cool little sniper style plinker (I added a bipod) swivel mount worked well with my harris bipod so far... I've only gone to the range 1 time and put about 100 rounds through it. last but not least.. it looks good with a stock barrel im sure it will look alot better when/if i get a bull barrel but for now the stock barrel looks and performs perfectly
Nice looking, average fit.
Ive been slowly building up my 10/22 to make it more accurate. I changed the barrel and the receiver and then the stock. I wanted a pictatinny rail so that I didnt have to use rings using the Brownells BR22 receiver. The fitment of all that new parts did require considerable sanding of the interior of the stock particularly in the rear area. The stock is not tooled to fit an after market receiver. The amount of wood that I had to remove was complicated by not having the right sandpaper grit and tools to get into the tight areas. I was persistent and finally got it all removed. The fit is still tight so I have to remove some of the barrel wood as well. The other issue is that the take down screw is way too short to fit the parts back together and finding another screw was nearly impossible at best. I ended up calling Tactical Solutions and they are still in the process of sending me the screw. So the rifle sits on my desk waiting for the right parts to arrive.
