While I would liked to have seen more information in the instructions on the takedown and re-assembly of parts (especially the carrier), I found the instructions on this kit FAR better than most. In many cases, you don't get any documentation whatsoever; just the springs and a 'you figure it out yourself implication.' Everything was just as described and boy did it make a difference. After making my adjustments I took it back to TakTek firearms in Roanoke, Texas to let the owner examine it compared to a stock Rossi 92 on his wall that was the non-flag edition same version of mine (where mine is the 1776 flag edition) and he was blown away with how much easier the action was. From the factory, it has three gate points where it hangs as you cycle the lever action. On mine, you can easily cycle it with one finger. Be super careful about the lever-action cycle pin. Take pictures of everything before and as you disassemble, especially about the sunk-depth of that pin.

Easy to install. I shoot CAS and this spring kit makes the 92 function very smooth, I highly recommend it.

I installed this kit and it works great - I'd recommend this kit to anyone that wants to improve the function of their Rossi 92 rifle.

Makes a tough job a lot easier. With a little polishing, the 92 works nice and smooth. Recommend to anyone with a Rossi 92.

my stock Rossi was running slow and hard to close the last 1/2 " this kit fixes a lot the problems! polish most metal too and your gun will be shooting fast and smooth . Just wonder why Rossi cant do this from the factory

I installed this in my Rossi 357 mag and it is smoooooth now. In case anyone is wondering the carrier spring is in the part that lifts the shell into the breech. I love this kit and will order two more for my other rifles. I shoot cowboy competitions and is runs great.

The Palo Verde kit includes all of the springs you need to smooth out the Rossi R92 action. The replacement main spring is very cleverly designed. It includes spacers that can be placed at either end of the spring to adjust tension and to help keep the spring straight as it slides down the strut. The instructions suggest which spacers you can use based on what caliber you shoot. I went with one blue, one white and obtain very solid strikes on every single primer. The kit includes a choice of two correctly sized ejector springs that are much lighter than the factory spring. You choose based on the caliber of the round you use. I slightly smoothed the ejector "cutouts" when there is contact with the collar when the spring is compressed as suggested in the instructions and the rifle now drops the spent cases at my feet, or on the table at the lane at the range. It levers a lot smoother too - almost all of that "hitch" at the end of the forward throw when you are compressing the ejector spring is gone. A lot of the resistance you feel when levering the R92 is due to the heavy factory ejector spring and simply replacing this spring makes a huge difference. I also changed the two other springs included in the kit, the "lever tension spring" and the "carrier stop spring". The result is a rifle that is silky smooth, but far from sloppy. The included instructions give good advise on where you can polish critical interior parts as well as how to adjust the trigger spring for a less heavy pull. A replacement trigger spring is not included in the kit as the one in the rifle does a great job and only needs to be bent ever so slightly to lighten up the pull. This kit is very well though out and cleverly designed. I recommend you install this spring kit before you break out a Dremel or sandpaper and start attacking the insides. You may find that this kit gets you where you want to go and you may only have to slightly polish interior parts that show obvious metal to metal contact. Sometimes it looks like the action is stiff because parts are rubbing when it's really the springs inside causing the tightness. I predict that you will like this kit if your intention is to smooth out the action on your Rossi R92.

My Rossi '92 is a totally different gun, smooth as silk and drops cases at my feet. Went with the previous review and installed the 2 white and 2 red on my hammer spring and fires every time. I also polished and chamfered everything along with a little white lithium grease.

Wow, the .357 R92 is now a joy to cycle. I initially put two blue bushing on the hammer spring (made for very light action) but was getting light strikes on hard primers. Now using two white bushings plus two red washers ( ~30% increase) to be reliable with hard primers. I can still cycle action with my pinky.
