RMSC CUT SLIDE FOR GLOCK® 43

RMSC CUT SLIDE FOR GLOCK® 43 Reviews & Ratings

The Brownells RMSC Cut Slide for Glock® 43 enables you to install a Red Dot with the RMSC footprint on your pocket Glock®. It offers all the benefits of our "Front Cut" slide for Glock® 43, including forward slide serrations that give you extra leverage in manipulating G43's slide against its stiff recoil spring. The cutout on top of the slide behind the ejection port accepts a Shield Sights RMS or other red dot that fits the RMSC mounting footprint. The RMS Cut Slide for Glock® 43 also comes with a factory rear sight dovetail and slot for the front sight tenon. They will accept both factory plastic sights and any aftermarket sights that fit the factory cuts, enabling you to co-witness "iron" sights with the red dot for backup.

NOTE: Requires 6-40 Size screws which Brownells does not currently carry.

Compatible Red Dots:
-Shield RMSC
-Vortex CCW Defender
-Holosun 507K & 508K
-Holosun EPS
-Sig Romeo Zero Elite
-Swampfox Sentinel
-Springfield Armory WASP
-Riton MPRD

Features:

  • Machined from heat-treated & hardened 17-4 stainless steel billet
  • Hard, wear-resistant matte black Nitride finish
  • Internal dimensions identical to factory slide
  • Includes Factory rear sight dovetail & front sight tenon cut
  • Slide only - no internal parts (see Gun Tech Note below)

Our RMS Cut Slide gives you more grasping surface on your Glock® 43 by adding deep-cut serrations up front. This is a big help when making a quick press check of the chamber. Both the front and rear serrations are cut to the same depth as the factory grooves - so there's no compromise of overall slide strength. Crisp 90-degree edges on the grooves give you excellent purchase for chambering a round on the first try.

Brownells Gun Tech™ Note: The Shield Sights RMSC Cut Slide for Glock® 43 consists of the bare slide only. You will need to retain your pistol's existing barrel (or an aftermarket upgrade) and recoil guide / spring assembly, extractor, extractor depressor & spring assembly, and rear coverplate. The G43 slide does not require a firing pin channel liner.

Fitment and Installation
45%
Many users report that the slide fits well on their Glock frames and is easy to install. Comments highlight successful use of factory internals and indicate the slide's aesthetic appeal, but some also mention issues with fit, such as loose screws and alignment problems.

A recurring theme is dissatisfaction with quality control, particularly indicated by rust in mounting holes and inconsistencies in screw sizing. Many reviewers suggest that the product may have been shipped without proper inspection, impacting user confidence.
Customer Service
40%
Users appreciate the responsiveness and help provided by customer service when issues arose, especially regarding replacements and guidance on defects. However, this is seen as a necessary response to the mentioned quality issues rather than a benefit of the product itself.
Performance Issues

I had issues with mine.
While I did notice heavy corrosion in the mounting holes for the optic, I was happy to see that these slides do fit the 507K. However, with the 507K the cut was not milled deep enough to co-witness standard height sights. In fact it seemed to sit higher than the MOS slide with an Empire Adapter plate installed. The problem I had was with the slide to guide rod fitment. It seemed a little sloppy, but okay, until I started to feed live rounds. The recoil spring did not have enough tension to chamber the rounds and go into full battery, even though it worked great on the stock slide. Even when the slide was pushed into battery I had several light primer strikes with the OEM internal parts. I decided to just stick with my factory slide and file down the rear lugs so that I could direct mount my optic. I feel like Brownells has some bugs to work out, but once they do, it will be a quality product. They just arent there yet.

Does NOT fit Holosun 507k
In the Q&A section Brownells stated the Holosun 507k would fit. It does not. The slide has a total of four male mounting nobs and the 507k only has two female portions. The holes for the screws are in the right place though. As others mentioned there did seem to be rust in the holes for the screws but it also looked like it could be a grease protectant similar to the grease that comes on glocks from the factory. Cool slide though just wish it was properly advertised.
