RMRCC CUT SLIDE FOR GLOCK® 48

RMRCC CUT SLIDE FOR GLOCK® 48 Reviews & Ratings

Whether or not you're running a Glock® G48 or G43X, there's no doubt that you could benefit from adding a red-dot sight to your self-defense system. Dot sights have been proven to speed up target acquisition and follow-up shots, and the bright aiming point makes you much more capable in low-light situations. There's just one problem: Glock®doesn't provide a milled slide on these platforms. Luckily, we've got the solution in this RMRcc Cut Slide designed for use on the G48 length slide. As an added bonus, you can make a G43 into a longslide model by grabbing this slide and a compatible barrel. Based on our ""Front Cut"" slide we designed originally for the Glock® G48, this RMRcc Cut Slide includes serrations at the front and rear of the slide for easy manipulation, which is a big help when you're fighting against the stiff recoil spring inside this compact 9mm. Just behind the ejection port, though, you'll see a cutout that's tailor-made to accept the Trijicon RMRcc red-dot sight.

When you're not using a red-dot sight, the slide includes a cover plate with a dovetail designed to accept all standard Glock®rear sights, and a slot at the front of the slide is compatible with Glock's front-sight tenon.

Each Brownells RMRcc Cut Slide is machined from 17-4 stainless steel billet and treated with a matte-black Nitride finish.

Internally, the dimensions are identical to Glock's OEM slides, so you can put factory Glock®parts into the slide in order to build your complete gun. Consumers are responsible for either retaining the factory barrel and slide internals or finding new components to finish the slide. This slide does not require the use of a firing-pin channel liner.

Note: This RMRcc Cut Slide includes the slide and cover plate with screws only, no other hardware.

Meh
No idea why they chose the RMRCC footprint. Once i got it I noticed you either use the plate and install a rear sight or put on a $500 optic. One slide came with the threaded inert for the optic seated too far so i couldnt get the extractor spring and rod seated the whole way. Wouldnt buy again.

Poor quality
I wish I didn’t have to write this review, but I feel like it’s needed. The slide came with rust in the threaded holes for the optic mount. When I tried installing the internals from my stock G48, the extractor spring wouldn’t fit all the way into the slide. I found a machining burr halfway down the hole preventing the spring plunger from seating completely. Also, the rmrcc pattern only fits one rdo; the trijicon rmrcc. Brownells took the defective slide back and gave me a refund. Good on them!

Great concept but constant issues
I really wanted to like this. It was going to be an upgrade/update to my 43x into a slim glock 19 with a red dot.. However, I had constant failure to feed issues. It seems like the spring assembly was not strong enough or slide was too tight of a fit. Then, the guide rod broke. The plastic guide rod end caps broke off and fell out of the slide. Maybe a metal guide rod is what is needed to last and to help with the failure to feed issues. I can't carry for use until this is sorted out. Very disappointed.

Really wanted this to work
I really wanted this to work so I could replace my factory slide without getting it milled. It looks great and feels well built however I can not get it to work on my completely factory G48. I built the slide out with OEM parts and also tried using a Brownells slide parts kit. I am having an issue where the slide will not consistently go into battery after firing. It will fire, eject the spent casing and load a new round without issue but it will not completely reset the trigger. I ended up exchanging it for another one and it had the same issue. I only fired a handful of rounds through it and the slide looked pretty beat up. compared to my OEM which has seen over 1k rounds.
