I mounted the Globe front sight on my Pedersoli Sharps Business Rifle and it looks and functions perfectly. Installing it was simple, but required a good bit of force using a brass drift pin and large hammer. If you are not comfortable doing it, let a gunsmith install it to avoid damaging the sight. I use it in conjunction with a Tang Sight and the Pronghorn sight, and it helps my old eyes hit the target with ease. I'm very pleased.
A Wonderfully Made Classic Sight
This is an adjustable machined Front sight commonly referred to as a Beach sight. Originals, first appeared on high end rifles following the US Civil war and were common up to the 1950s. Most ere were made of blued steel, with two sighting points. This example has a gold finish and modification that adds a third sighting point. It is aesthetically complimentary to any turn of the century rifle. Switching between a hooded front sight and a blade front the pivot point is crisp and snaps firmly into place so it wont be affected by heavy recoil. Mine was destined for a Pedersoli double rifle as a compliment to a williams peep sight, though a buckhorn or any notch rear sight will suffice. The three aim points are a nice touch and conveniently can be aligned at 75, 100 and 200 yards on my double rifle. Installed in a classic like an 1885 high wall, Remington rolling block, or Winchester 1895 this front sight is the -perfect visual touch for a classic rifle. One word of warning, this sight requires a (9mm ) dovetail slot. Unless you are a reasonably competent gunsmith or your rifle already has a dovetail ramp, you might want to give some thought to how you will mount it.
