always digging for a screw to replace a butt screw. these are perfect!

I recently bought a new custom-tuned SxS coach gun for cowboy action completion, but didn't like the factory recoil pad as it tended to "grab" my shirt while handling the gun and made the length of pull even longer. I have a recoil pad grinding fixture that I used once with nice results, and figured that it would allow me to fit a universal plastic buttplate to the stock on my new gun. The result surprisingly exceeded my hopes, but to finish this project I needed some high quality #10 oval head wood screws that would look great in the fitted, shaped and polished buttplate which I've already drilled to allow use of the existing screw holes in the stock. I just received the package of these screws, and after carefully examining each of them couldn't be more pleased with how well they're machined, threaded, polished and finished. They're beautifully made, and would definitely complement the woodwork of any nice rifle or shotgun.

Used for my own projects old shot guns and rifles wood butt stocks and plates re-tapped holes screws worked great and look nice, soft heads will scratch and lose color.

Out of one dozen screws, there were only two worth polishing and bluing. I could have done better down at the corner hardware store.
