Great up-Grade
I purchased the # 8 tube a few years back to accomadate 18.5 inch slug barrel i put on an older Remington Express along with a tube mounted flash light.. Turned out Great ! Was a gift for my son & would highly recommend. Barrel & tube are flush just so you know. 7 plus 1 !

Custom Hand Filing Outstanding Gratitude
I knew before hand that my newer Remarms 870 has dimples on the magazine tube . I highly recommend hand filing which is a slower process but the fitment and pleasure that you did it better puts a gratifying smile on your face and spirit, it functions flawlessly . I used various types of hand files . Go slow , don't be in a rush. There are no holes in the tube from drilling. It looks really good too.

A Welcome Addition
The mag tube extension functions as advertised. Turns my 5-shot (4 in the tube, 1 in the chamber) Remington 870 into an 8-shot (7 in the tube, 1 in the chamber) as written in the description. Since the installation, which included properly grinding off the bumps in the factory mag tube, the gun has functioned perfectly and has been completely reliable, with no failures to feed. Looks good, too. I coupled this with an 18.5" barrel to make a great home defense shotgun, which is easily convertible back to hunting configuration by switching barrels.

Converted an old 870 for home defense by dropping the 24" barrel on it down to the 18.5". It also had a longer mag extension that would've created a bit of trouble. This seven round extension fits perfectly and looks like it came from the factory this way. - Excellent fit - Easy install - Durable product

Easy to install. 6+1 is what I wanted for a home defense shotgun. Taking it to the range in the next week to practice.
