The Brownells Remington 700 Rifle Action Wrench & Head is a professional-grade action wrench system engineered to provide maximum receiver support during barrel installation, barrel removal, and custom rifle builds. Unlike conventional action wrenches that apply force at limited contact points, this advanced system completely surrounds and supports the receiver ring and recoil lug, helping distribute torque forces evenly to reduce the risk of costly receiver damage.

Designed specifically for Remington 700-pattern actions, the two-piece head fully encircles the cylindrical receiver for nearly complete surface engagement, dramatically increasing gripping area while helping prevent twisted bolt ways, distorted receivers, and other damage that can occur during barrel work. The precision-machined head provides an exact receiver fit, while the solid steel base delivers the strength required for demanding gunsmithing applications.

The upper head indexes on the forward guard screw and helps properly position the recoil lug during barrel installation. Might have to fix it before you can use

I got my wrench after being backordered. The bolt on one side would not thread in. The thread must be hosed so I will try and fix via a tap wrench. Just be aware a head of time you may have to repair the new wrench before you can use it.
