While I'm 100% positive that I could save a few bucks shooting steel cased ammo, I always go back to shooting 55gr Fiocchi for classes and most range days. The 55gr bullet is fairly accurate for 300yds and in, yielding results slightly above 1 MOA, out of a 1:7 twist CHF barrel. For more precise shooting, my rifle likes 77gr projectiles, but if the objective is to shoot "minute of man", I'll pick up the Fiocchi because it is less than half of the price of match grade ammunition. I have used many other manufacturers and many different tiers of 223 and 5.56 rounds, and, for the money, Fiocchi provides the most constant performance and is highly reliable (I'm looking square at you American Eagle). It's also a fairly clean burning load, and even after a long class day shooting +500 rounds, my face doesn't resemble that of a raccoon due to gas blowback. The only other comparable cartridge would be the 55gr Norma Tac that occasionally goes on sale. Tl;Dr Try it. You'll like it.

Plowed through 500 rounds, used 2 different BCG's (AR15/M16), used poly and alum mags with no issues. My only issue was running out of ammo.

Purchased this ammo for my 2020 calendar year shooting competitions. I have used this ammo in the past and was very pleased with the accuracy, consistent velocities, and quality. Would highly recommend this to anyone looking for practice, fun, or competition ammo.
Accurate, affordable reliable ammo
I've been shooting this ammo for years. I just bought another case here at Brownell's. It is without a doubt some of the most accurate and reliable 55gr fmj you can buy. If functions perfect in every rifle and pistol upper I own. Grab a case when it goes on sale. I think you will be happy with it.
