Quality ammo
It's either these or shorts when I go squirrel hunting. Like the name claims they're quiet.

Excellent product
Perfect for revolver shooting in Steel Challenge (rfpi and rfpo). Super low recoil. Also excellent in my CZ bolt action .22LR Rifle for quiet shooting. Plenty of energy for squirrels and bunnies.

.22 quiet segmented 40gr.
I bought these because I couldn’t get the 29gr. CB caps in .22 long. They drop a lot at 25 yds. Compared but after moving the rear sight up they are accurate but much harder hitting. I make a backstop out of a scrap wood sandwich 2.5” thick. They start to destroy it much faster too. These could probably take a coyote with a well placed shot! I shoot paper though.

Nice Rounds
Not a bad price, supposed to be quiter but after over fifty years of BOOMS I can't really tell. Have never had one of these rounds from this maker not fire.

Shoots great
The 40gr LRN shoots like a boss from a CZ American. Absolutely a tack driver.

Compatible Barrel Required
I couldn't hit a stationary basketball beyond 10 yards using my bolt action, wood stock, Ruger American 22-inch barrel and this QUIET ammunition. Switched to using my Marlin 39 TDS lever action 16.25 inch 'micro-groove' and grouping 10-shots consistently inside a quarter size hole at 33 yards. Benching off bags, AO -12 power scope on both rifles. No changes except for the ammo and 10-shot dime to nickle sized groups with same Ruger and same Marlin setups using CCI standard velocity 1070 fps 40 grainers solid or hollow point lead at 50 yards. Marlin is zeroed for CCI standard velocity rounds at 50 yds, just a matter of determining the mil-dots for the QUIET at different ranges absolutely no further than 35 yards. Go figure, one barrel works so well with these. Needed more QUIET for the all-too-frequent garden pests turning my organic health food into their personal outdoor salad bar, so enjoying these rounds for what they are designed for. Your gun barrel results will vary.

Great on small game
I use this on ground squirrels under 50 yards. Its quiet, kills quickly and doesnt ricochet. It is not and should not be considered a match-grade cartridge. Its accuracy is good for small game at shorter ranges. It is safe for backyards and farm yards with proper backstops unlike the high velocity loadings which can ricochet into neighboring properties.

Patterns Like a Shotgun!
Just as the review previous to mine, these just don't group at all. Out of a Ruger Precision Rimfire at 30 yards I was getting a 5 shot groups with a 1.5"-2" spread. Not acceptable to me when hunting squirrels. At 710fps they just don't seem to stabilize enough to be accurate but are quiet. If your looking for accurate and using a suppressor you're better off with CCI 0074 which is the segmented Subsonic. One ragged hole vs buckshot

Not accurate at 25 yards
Out of three rifles one Remington custom, a Ruger American and a Ruger custom this round prints about one inch hole at 25 yards. Not accurate for anything more that 20 yards knowing that you will hit somewhere around point of aim wiithin an inch to inch and a half. Loads are very inconsistent in sound which means powder measure is off from round to round. The regular segmented are more accurate at 1050fps.
