SPECS: Before deciding which of the barrel, magazine tube or ferrule bands to use, you must first know the diameter of your barrel. Measure the barrel at the point of installation (usually 13"-17" forward of the trigger or 3"-4" ahead of the magazine or stock). All are Style A except 1331-2, 1341-2 and 1441-2 which are Style B.

Great if you don't tighten too hard.

Fit perfectly on a blued Marlin 336A in 30-30. Did not fit once it was cerakoted. With some messing around, finally got the band to fit properly. Screwed it down too tight, screw started to unwind itself around the threads. Band and swivels are excellent, but I wish the screw was hardened.

Needs fitting

Mounted on a Remington 7600. Barrel band fit good but there were two problems with the barrel band stud: 1) The diameter of the hollow screw was too small and had to be reamed out to fit the swivel, and 2) the radius of the stud was too large on the bottom, which prevented the swivel from swinging freely from front to back. I had to take a dremel tool and remove some material and re-blue the bare metal. Also, Uncle Mike's should include the more popular 1.25" swivels instead of the 1" size.

Works on a Winchester 1400 20ga shotgun

This fore end swivel base turned out to be my only available option of attaching a sling with Uncle Mike's swivels to a Winchester 1400 20ga shotgun. Other reviews had me concerned about the Allen screw stripping out but I took a chance. I repeatedly and carefully add the Allen screw to the point of resistance, back it out, and kept cleaning up the rough portion of the threads. It's now assembled (tricky but doable) and seems ok - it definitely looks good. If the Allen screw does fail, a Leupold torx screw in 8-40x.278 may be the replacement I'll need to get per other reviewers.
