Let me address the other reviews real quick. I think it's unfair to leave a negative review because you didn't do the research to know this isn't compatible with backstraps without modification. It says it right in the description. I have never once had an issue with mags not dropping free. Not with my normal mags or my mags with Taran Tactical extended base pads. I don't use a back strap and I haven't done any modification to my gun (other than slide upgrades). Now, on to my review. Everyone knows what a magwell is used for. What you can't tell by looking at this though, is the quality. You have to feel it once it's installed on your gun. The installation was super easy, nothing to it. It's machined so well that it slid into place with firm, smooth force. The hole in the magwell lined up with the hole in my Glock 19's grip perfectly without any issue. Tighten down the screw and you're good to go (which is the same size as every other screw I've seen in a magwell, and can't even be felt when gripping the gun). The main thing I love about this magwell (other than it being made of aluminum and so precisely manufactured) is that it makes the grip so comfortable. It completely covers up that God awful crescent shaped cutout in the Gen 5 grip and replaces it with a smooth, flared lip (perfect spot to rest the pinky). It's also not too large like other options out there, it doesn't interfere with the ability to conceal the gun. Lastly, I use a Taran Tactical extended +5 base pad with my gun/mag sometimes, and they fit with the magwell like a glove. Overall, I couldn't be happier with this purchase. It's pricey but if you want to do away with the annoying crescent grip cutout, add some sexy flair to your gun and make it super comfortable... buy one, you won't regret it.
