Improves Trigger Pull and Reset
I changed from a stock Glock connector to this without changing anything else. Despite having polished the stock connector, this part made take up smoother and crisper break. Approximately a 1 pound reduction in trigger pull weight without changing any springs. Reading through the other reviews, it sounds like the negative reviews were mostly from people who made too many changes at once and/or jumbled together after market parts from multiple manufacturers. Make changes 1 at a time and take the time to evaluate each change before doing the next thing.
Great for my P80 builds
I have used this connector on two Polymer 80 builds. Both had Glock original lower parts kits. Other connectors I tried, Lone Wolf and Lantac, would sometime fire upon reset. This is very not cool, and hopefully you can diagnose it when doing functionality check, not at the range. Neither the Glock original nor the Zev connector ever fired on reset. And the Zev is lighter than the Glock, without being too light.
Works as advertised.
Picked this up for a G17. When reassembled correctly, it reduced my trigger to about 3.7lb which is close enough. So I have no issues with the connector. I did however also get the ZEV spring kit and did not have as good of luck with that. I have a review of that too, but the short version is the trigger spring caused issues.
Excellent connector
Best connector I've tried if wanting a lighter pull. High quality.
Light and silky smooth
Great product. Lighter and smoother than either the factory part or the Lone Wolf 3.5 lb connector. No gritty feel, no drag. I also bought the Ghost Ultimate, but haven't had a chance to try it yet. It might be as good as the Glockworx, but I don't see how it could be better. Combined with the Glockworx Competition Spring Kit you've got a pretty sweet trigger at a very reasonable cost.
Works Good
This was quite the improvement over the stock connector. It eased the trigger press greatly and was very smooth in its function. It fit correctly and functioned flawlessly. I never oil the the connector and trigger bar as recommended by Glock, however I do lubricate this area will a small amount of fine graphite at each cleaning. Overall it is a good improvement for a small amount of money.
Maybe, maybe not
The trigger pull is great after installing this and a connector, but I have one problem. To describe it best, it's like the trigger safety gets "hung" on the Glock frame. I installed two on different Glocks and they both did it. I haven't gotten into a cure yet, but it will take one. I would not recommend this to someone who couldn't tweak it to get that out.
CAUSED ACCIDENTAL DOUBLE FIRE
This connector should be used along with the Zev trigger only and not the stock Glock trigger or another aftermarket trigger. With the stock Glock trigger it takes some poundage off of the trigger pull, but it takes away the crisp wall and makes the trigger pull very mushy without a clear break. When used with a Hyve trigger, it made my glock unintentionally fire immediately upon the resetting of the trigger. In other words, it made my gun fire once when I pulled the trigger, then a second time when I took my finger off the trigger. Although to some a double fire trigger may be considered a "happy mistake" it is not safe to use in my gun for concealed carry purposes. I uninstalled this connector and put back in the stock one for a more predictable, safe, and clean trigger pull.
Zev Connector
I installed this on my Glock 19 and the trigger broke very late and had a spongie feel. The weight didn't drop compared to the factory part. The point to where the trigger would break wasn't a solid wall. I even tried 2 other complete triggers and they didn't function at all. I was unable to get the pistol to fire. Im a firearms examiner for a major dept and armorer to several brands of firearms. Not recommended.
