No difficulties; does the job
Looks good.
Been needing a few items so I put an order together. Got it everything looks good thanks.
2nd choice
I have not been able to use these yet. I had ordered another product that was out of stock. After several weeks I selected these. The appear to be well made, however several of them so not have a size stated on the punch. Also the size is very faint where they are stamped. Still does not impact the ability of the punch to do what they are intended to do. Over the last several years I have purchased a few items from you and all have been good and fairly priced. Delivery has been good, least acceptable delivery service has been with UPS. Not your issue. Will continue to buy from you, as needed.
Right Tool
To prevent tool failure, when starting to remove roll pins always use a starter punch, to prevent bending and possibly breaking a normal length pin punch.
Mixed expectations. Only usage will tell.
Wish I had browsed Brownells website store sooner, for punches. They're selling Starret and Mayhew punches for almost half the price they're selling them on Amazon. I paid 15 to $16's each punch for the Starret, which Brownells has for $8.99 . An I really love the effort Brownell put into the reviews, the detailed descriptions, and the videos of so many products they sell.
On another note though, I have to point out that several of Brownells products are the exact same as the products sold under another brand name. These short punches & roll pin punches, the regular set of roll pin punches. An the roll pin starter punches sold by Brownell, are literally the exact same as all of the Grace USA sets. Just for a better price, which in itself is great. Even their gunsmithing hammers are exactly the same, they've just laser printed Brownell on it instead of Grace. I think allot of people simply misuse roll pin punches an such, although these shorter punches are listed as pin starter punches.
The reviews on both are almost identically mirrored, the problem I have with this. Is that it seems like allot of these companies like Grace USA, an consequently Brownell. Are outsourcing some of their products for pre made Chinese products they just slap their name on, an aren't really making these products in the USA or even at all. An if they are, they've substituted quality material and/or production processes. For cheaper and faster means of mass production. Overall reviews are better on Brownells site then on Amazon, when it comes to these "Brownell" ( Grace USA ) punches.
Where there are ALLOT more bad reviews, although I'm sure many are misuse. I have noticed many big "reputable" brand name companies, have been cutting corners and cheaping out on products. While as others have mentioned, I too have a $5 set of Harbor Freight, Hyper Tough punches. Little 5 piece pin punch set, but have literally put a beating on the 1/16 punch and it has yet to bend, mushroom or warp in the slightest. An Hyper Tough are actually a Walmart brand, and still also made in China.

Unbelievable
Unbelievable. This is a ROLL Pin starter punch, and came FLAT with no bevel. Junk, not even worth sending back. Useless. Going in trash. Come in Brownells, you can do better this is sad...
poor quality
poorly machined, it was not cylindrical and could damage gun. I did not use it, tossed it in the garbage as soon as received. It is junk. Buy a good quality punch.
