I hear they’re nice
I got an email notification from a bot and Within 52 minutes they were sold out. I guess I’ll look for them on Gunbroker for a dollar each.
Federal primers and other primers
Just have gotten too expensive. So sad. Can recommend these primers to those capable/willing to purchase. They are wonderful performing primers
Gold Medal Primers Preferred
Prefer to use the Gold Medal Match primers in all my long range loads, when they are available. Consistent SD's and groups using these primers
Excellent and consistent
I use these mostly for target practice, hunting but would have no qualms about using them in my critical duty ammo in self defense. They feed flawlessly, always seem to fit the pocket and need I say they always make the load go bang. I have fired them a few times in an unloaded cartridge to see the flame propagation out the end of the rifle (before they got so hard to find). Can't think of any cons except availability. To put it in context, I load using CCI, Federal, Winchester primers; doesn't get any better than this. Recommended.
Great Product/Horrible Price....
Truthfully I cant believe that i went on Brownell's web site and actually found primers! I haven't bought primers in years and its not because i didnt need them....they are simply not out there available as im sure everyone knows. Ive never used Federals match primers but im sure they are high quality...i expect nothing less. I paid double for these primers. The last time i bought primers they were $40 a brick...these cost me $236 for 2 to get to my house....GLAD TO GET THEM at any price. Love Brownells, glad to do business with a solid American Company.
Best I've found
When I started benchrest matches I took a new 100 piece box of federal, CCI, Winchester, Remington and S&B primers. Loaded ten cases with each brand just the primer. When fired there was a very noticeable difference in the sound level and volume and consistency. Federal was by far the best. When the primers were loaded into cartridges and fired the federal primed cases had the best group size.
Hard to find primers
I was surprised when I was checking there Brownells web page for primers .I had been checking twice a day for a couple of weeks, then they were there I ordered 1000 could of ordered 2000 but only needed the lesser amount , that way there would be some for someone else. Shipping was very good and on time . Now I can start reloading my 6.5 creedmoor
Large rifle primers
Primers deliver best ES in many loads.
They work well
I've loaded and shot thousands of these without ever having an issue. That said, I've never used any other small rifle primer. And why would I want to? These do exactly what they are suppose to do and all my developed loads consistently give me single digit extreme spread when I'm checking 5 shot groups through my crono.
Great primer
Not the cheapest primer, but for Benchrest you want the best. 205Ms work.
