Great kit
There's nothing wrong with this kit, it works just fine. The problem is that people are putting a Glock together for the first time and blame it on the parts. Lone Wolf has been making these aftermarket parts longer than anyone else.
Would you recommend this?
Yes, I would recommend to a friend
GOOD VALUE
I HAVE USED SEVERAL OF THESE KITS FOR GLOCK POLYMER 80S IN 19 AND 17. I FIND THEY ALL WORK WELL, HOWEVER, AFTER SOME EXPERENCE, I HAVE LEARNED TO POLISHED ALL CONTACT SURFACES AND GREATLY IMPROVED THE TRIGGER FEEL AND FUNCTION. I HAVE NEVER HAD A FAILURE TO FUNCTION. IT"S A HOBBY, SO DOING A LITTLE EXTRA ADDS TO ONES SATISFACTION OF DOING A GOOD JOB. I WILL BUY MORE IF EVER AVAILABLE AGAIN.
So far, so good...
Bought this kit at the same time as a POLY80 frame for a father/son build and I don't recall the negative reviews. However, the lack of instructions is easily replaced by the googles and the only brief issue was the inclusion of two ejector bars and deciphering which was for 9 and which for 40 cal. There are visual differences especially with the black plastics, but so far no problems after nearly 500 rounds. The only observed functional difference is that the extended slide lock bar is noticeably longer than our other extended bars on other Glocks. Kinda good for my son's crumb snatchers. Did not experience the installation challenges that others have reported. Given their experiences, I'm hesitant to consider this particular POLY80 build as anything other than target practice and a learning experience without a much higher round count. Your mileage may vary and I may replace the internals with OEM if they give any trouble
Wrong, or bad trigger bar
I didnt have issues with installation of the LPK. The trigger bar I received does not work with poly80 gen 3. The trigger completely bottoms out in order to fire. It doesnt even contact the fire pin safety until 3/4 pull.
Universal Trigger Housing
The Universal Trigger Housing looked like it was partial done compared to OEM. The ejectors both 9 & 40 looked like they had been poured from a pancake batter contraption. Luckily I had ordered an OEM unit. Just have to wait for it (B.O.). First kit had a smooth trigger, this one didn't. Another order. This manufacturer has always had a problem with Q.C. this kit is no different. Please "B" find another supplier of frame parts kits. The few extended controls aren't worth the hassle of reordering replacement for the garbage parts these guys put together with OEM.
Doesn't work on G17 Gen 3!
This seems to be a gen 4 trigger because it has the bump on the trigger connector. It will not work with Gen 3 Glock 17! My slide got stuck because of these parts and I had to pry off the slide back cover to get it apart.
Didn’t work
I knew I should’ve gone with a cut rate parts kit but I did anyway and it cost me. After installation, the trigger wouldn’t drop the sear even when it was pulled clear back. If I pulled it at a slight angle to get to go a hair further, then it would drop. I replaced the connector with a double diamond 3.5 and that fixed that problem. The spring on the slide release was also weak causing the slide to lock back randomly. So after replacing it with an OEM one, the gun is running good. So all it took was another $40+ to make this $50 kit work. You get what you pay for.
Glock 17/22 Non-Function
Would not work with Glock17/22
I would not use again
I have done four other builds using glock lower parts kits but I bought this kit when nothing else was available. The trigger housing seemed a tiny bit tall but still fit giving the elusion that it would work. the trigger spring was to short compared to a standard glock trigger spring, but I installed it anyway thinking they must know what they are doing. After assembly it would not feed properly, the trigger would not reset and function properly...on and on...I'm in the process of changing out all the parts as they come back in stock. I can't recommend this kit. Save your money.
Totally a piece of trash
Do not buy this kit! There are no installation directions with the kit and there are none on the Lone Wolf Website. There are major differences between this kit and all the other Glock parts kits that I've seen that I can't figure out and I'm pretty Glock savy. Lone Wolf doesn't even list this on their own website which should tell you something about it. I wouldn't recommend this to an enemy. Off to buy the parts that I should have purchased originally.
