Designed fo fit 1/2 x 28 threaded barels, the Samson Pocket Comp for the M&P Shield and Shield 2.0 9mm installs in minutes without the need for gunsmithing. The Samson design uses a threaded interface which protects the barrel threads unlike conventional compensators. The Samson Pocket Comp for M&P 9 Shield blends with the aesthetic lines of the slide, creating the image of a slide extension. Machined from 7075 aircraft-grade billet, the Pocket Comp is Mil-Spec hard coat anodized for durability. The Pocket Comp efficiently reduces felt recoil and muzzle rise, allowing faster recovery between shots. It functionswit the factory recoil spring using a wide range of bullet weights and velocities (124gr or heavier is recommended, may work with 115gr depending on manufacturer and/or environmental conditions). Pocket Comp

Very nicely made.

Sweet, loud and sexy on Charger pistol

Bought this comp for a 1022 Charger. The overall format is pretty sexy once installed on the gun. The device makes a loud noise exactly how I like it giving the impression of a centerfire pistol. The large exit hole of the device may not offer much compensating effect but that is secondary for me. The quality and finish are excellent and also very light so you can hardly notice any weight added.

Not practical

I really enjoy providing positive reviews but I cannot here. A nice idea in concept just not practical as the barrel on the pistol is not removed from the front of the slide. Also, only two (2) set screws came with this comp even though there are supposed to be three (3). I marked "poor quality" but it really is just a poorly thought out item. For example, Sig Sauer sells a comp that fits/threads on a P365 easily and without the fuss of set screws and the use of blue loctite. I cannot recommend anyone buying this product.
