Works
Quick and easy to use, well constructed, and comes with a storage case.
Works Great
First time I have used a bore snake, and was concerned about getting stuck in the bore from previous review. I did spray some cleaner and also sprayed barrels before use. I also removed the barrels from the frame before using. Pulled through fine in a sig p365 9mm and a s&w shield ez .380. I also purchased one for my son-in-law
An improvement over the original version
This bore snake is an improvement over the original version, but the best feature is the container. You can now store the bore snake neatly without the bronze brush entangling itself with everything else in our cleaning box. The rope is thicker and the brush is bigger so that it cleans in one pass instead of 5-6. Make sure you put enough cleaner and oil on in the correct areas or you'll be trying to pull it through dry and it won't go easily. Oh, the best improvement is the pull handle that is part of the "Den" makes it so much easier to pull the snake through the bore without wrapping it around your hand.

Works
Used it on a two .357s and two 9mm's. No problems. If you don't use enough fluid it can be hard to pull through.
do not buy this product
I purchased two of these. I started to run it though the barrel and it got stuck with ~ 5 in in the barrel with some little brass scrapers sticking out. I could not get it through the barrel and I could not retract it, stuck. Finally I took the firearm apart, still could not pull it out. I put the end by the ramp of the barrel in a vice and pulled with both hands, I almost turned the work bench over but at last I got it out. I guess no one at Hoppes ever tried their new design out. Do not purchase this item, I shall return it to Brownells.
