Use these tap out 6x42 holes to 10x40 on a remington 700 action 300 Winchester magnum extra holding power on scope base tap done well cut thread easy with winbro Tapfree 2 cutting fluid. Would buy again.

Great tap

Great tap had the receiver on my gun drilled and tapped in no time

excellent tap

It was more than I wanted to spend but like Brownell's said it is excellent. I bought the plug and bottoming taps to tap a T/C Renegade Muzzleloader where you cannot tap through the barrel into the combustion area. I used the plug tap for a starter then finished with the bottoming tap. The blind hole is only 3/32 deep.

Worked perfectly

I used this to tap 3 holes in a Remington 870 receiver to mount an Aridus Industries RMR base with aperture sight to the receiver. It cut smoothly and the screws fit well.

Clean cutting

I used the tap to cut threads in the yoke of a Model 1903 A3 rear ape rapture sight to install a threaded plug to lock the sight in place. Cut very clean and easily. Plug threads matched perfectly. Pricey but the highest quality.

Worked great to thread a hole in a barrel for a rear sight, threads all the way to the bottom.
