Red aluminum follower should be more reliable and smoothly than OEM plastic follower. However the OEM orange is easier to see.

Excellent replacement follower for your 12 gauge Mossberg. Installation was quick, no modification was needed. Be sure of the exact color you want, I say the red is a great touch to know when you empty. Great product

Well Made -- Works Great
Installed one in a Mossy 500 and another in a 590A1. Install was a snap. I did not bother reinstalling the magazine spring retainer clip. The screw on magazine cap retains the spring just fine and leaving the retainer clip out makes it quick and easy to swab the magazine tube out. Function remains fully reliable. The red follower is easily visible, making checking for an empty magazine more reliable. The only drawback is these are a little pricey.

Fits perfectly. No issues with mag tube extension. Much better than plastic for sure.
Perfect factory replacement.
Drops right in, quick and easy. No tools required unless you got something screwed in really tight. It is a like a burnt orange color. I'd prefer it to be brighter for better visibility.

Used for 3 gun in a mossy 930 spx. Very nice and slick. Slides like butter in the mag tube. Easy for me and the R.O. to get a quick visual that your clear. A tactile dimple would be nice to feel that your empty.
Very Light
This follower is extremely light. It has some play inside the magazine tube but maybe that will not affect performance. I'll update the review after using it for a while to comment on durability.
