Ideal Firearm/Gunsmithing Grease

I've tried a lot of different greases, many of them red, and not so great. This stuff is pretty awesome. It lasts. It doesn't migrate. It's tacky like grease should be. It stays put and holds... totally different than lithium grease, which, yeah it has its purpose, but that's not in firearms if you ask me. I have a 1 oz tube that I got free when I purchased their dry lube waaaaay back in like 2010. I wrote it off, trying a bunch of other greases, only to find out, when I finally did try it, "Holy Cow! This stuff is rad!" That's why I'm writing this review. I'm buying 1 or 2 10oz tubes and calling it a day for my grease needs for life. I suggest you do, too.

I should not have waited so long!

Great grease. Much better than oil to protect rubbing parts. ... And super helpful to hold AR springs in place when I'm putting things together.

Excellent product, better than TW25B

Excellent grease, used on everything that has a grease fitting or a firearm or any other application needing grease. Compared to a similar product for the application, it is "slicker" than TW-25B but offers better corrosion protection. It also costs significantly less per ounce. TW25B has turned a bit greenish after a few months storage for me, but this has remained the original color. Try it out, it's about the same price as Lucas Red 'N Tacky but operates a bit smoother.

Best all around stuff to use

I have used Militec for years and will keep using it. I have used it overseas in Iraq and Afghanistan and at home. Militec products are top notch! Never had had a problem.

Good Stuff

I got a 1oz sample that lasted for years, so this tube should probably last a life time. It is thick, but makes a good grease for an M1 Garand or M1A that used to call for Plastilube, or bolt action rifles. I tend to use it more on rifles than pistols given its thickness, but it should be fine on pistols as well with a thin layer. It also does a good job of quieting an AR15 buffer spring.

Definitely stays where you put it.

I thought that it was to thick for normal action usages it will stay where you put it for sure but I prefer thinner greases for firearm actions such as Tetra or similar. I will add some mineral spirits or oil to dilute it some. If that works then it will be a great value for the price.
