Great quality
I have not had a chance to use it yet but fits my gen 4 slide vary tightly. Can't wait to shoot it!!
Exactly What I Needed
I “inherited” my Glock 21 SF from a friend, but I was dreading the cost of shooting it. I knew I couldn’t use any of the 14,000+ rounds of .45 ammo I already have on hand that’s loaded with 225 gr. lead round nose bullets that I’d assembled to be a hardball equivalent. At least I couldn’t use that ammo in this Glock with its factory barrel.
I was delighted to find that Brownell’s has match grade Glock barrels manufactured with conventional button rifling. And the price was very reasonable.
After a tiny bit of handfitting, the gun shoots like a dream. It's actually more accurate now than it was with the stock barrel firing jacketed bullets!
I had considered spending the extra money to buy the Wilson Combat barrel, but judging from my past experience with Brownells' parts, I bought yours instead. And I couldn't be happier.
Accurate So Far
Dropped right in. No problems so far. Accurate.
Rocks
After about 5-10 rounds to foul it up....nail driver! Great finish and crown and tighter fit than OE barrel. Dropped in, no fitment issues.
Very accurate and we'll made!
The barrel literally only gets 4 stars due to lack of thread protector. Brownells could add one with there barrel lineup and still be competitively priced. But it's accurate enough to chop down a tree!
Excellent drop-in barrel
Barrel is well made and 100% reliable. Accuracy is better than factory. My only gripe is the lack of thread protector.
Brownell's Glock Barrel on a Glock 21
My 21.4 was having issues feeding 200 grain SWC handloads. The case mouth was snagging either side of the chamber mouth on the OEM Glock barrel. There is an inverted "U" shaped notch on either side of the OEM Glock barrel. The Brownell's barrel doesn't have these notches in the chamber mouth so the SWC's feed much more reliably. With the conventional rifling in the Brownell's barrel, no concerns about leading related problems in it. All in all, a worthy modification/upgrade to my 21 IMHO.
Didn’t work for my gen 1 Glock 21
My problem with this barrel wasn’t the fit or the accuracy. It fit well and I was able to shoot several 1 1/2 inch 5 shot groups with it. The problem came when I tried to take the barrel out for cleaning. I couldn’t get the barrel out. I have never had this problem before even with another non Glock barrel. So I did finally get the barrel out and sent it back for a replacement, thinking that it was a one off problem. When I got the replacement barrel l didn’t even try to shoot with it. I just installed it and worked the slide a few times then tried to take the barrel out. Same problem. So I sent it back for a refund which was quite an exercise in itself, taking about 2 months and several phone calls to complete. I have since purchased a Lone Wolf barrel. It fits and functions well and I can get the barrel out to clean it. I only have a few rounds through this barrel so I can’t give an accuracy comparison. I really liked the accuracy of the Brownell barrel but couldn’t live with it hanging up the slide to the point it was very difficult to get apart.
Dont use Brownells economy shipping
Took 9 working days or 13 normal days to get this. Lost my repair job in the mean time. Now stuck with a barrel. No help from brownells.
