MARLIN DOVETAIL FIRE SIGHT SET Reviews & Ratings

All sets feature a bright red, fiber optic, front sight and fully adjustable peep or U-notch, rear sight. U-notch, rear sight sets use the highly accurate, 3-dot pattern with two green, fiber optic dots at the rear for sharp contrast and quick sight acquisition in all light conditions. No drilling or tapping required for most rifle models. Dovetailed front and rear sights may require minor fitting. For Marlin and Winchester lever action rifles. Dovetail replaces factory front and rear sights. Rear sight is screw adjustable for elevation and drift adjustable for windage; has two, green, fiber optic dots. Front has red, fiber optic rod.

good sights for Win 94/22M
Installed on a 30 yr old Winchester 94/22 in 22M. First shot on the bull at 15yds. A little low at 100. sight picture is incredible good product.

great sights
Well I don't know about other lever guns but they fit my Marlin 1895 guide gun with no issues. I just filed the front sight until it fit like the old one and now it looks like it came that way. Took it out to the range and it sighted in nice and easy.

Big improvement over factory sights.
Needed minor fitting (filing) of the front sight. Rear sight was an easy swap. Took about 30 minutes to install both. Makes for a quick sight picture. Easy to adjust- will need a very small screwdriver to do so. Makes my Marlin 1895G much easier for me to shoot accurately.

Good Speed Sights
Installed on Marlin 1894. As mentioned in GunTech article, also order the the .312 N front blade which fits Marlin better. With rear all the way down and using .312 front, able to tear up the target center at 25 yds. at speed.

Excellent inexpensive sight.
I put a set of these on my 1895 45-70 and 1894 44 mag Marlins. The 1895 install corrected a problem the factory sights had, shooting 5" low. The sight set comes with an M type front insert, but the 1894 requires an N width of the same height #34. It is very common to have to juggle front sight insert height on different lever guns chambered for different cartridges, 0.009" per inch of shift at 50 yards. Sight picture is excellent, sights are highly visible and it is nice to have simple windage adjustment.

Easy,bright sight
Put these sights on a MArlin 1895 Cuide Gun with the ported barrel. Very easy to install and the sight picture is much better than the stock sight. I shoot hot hand loads and sighting in at 100 yards I had to crank the rear sight almost to the very top of the adjustment screw. I will be buying another set for a different 45-70 rifle I have.

Not for a Marlin 336
I agree with the pervious comment by Earl. I installed these sights om a Marlin 336. Installation was fairly straightforward. But the rifle shoots 16 inches high at 50 yards. This may fit a variety of rifles, but it just does not work on a 336. Wasted money

not for a marlin 336
Rear sight was easy to install, Front sight took some machining to clear the barrel band. With the rear sight at the lowest setting the gun was 2 feet high at 25 yards. Wasted time and money. Expected more from a williams product.
