Much better than OEM

I bought these to replace the factory sights on my Marlin 336BL. Installation was easy. Sight picture is much better and easier to acquire. The front sight is a nice improvement over the bead. The sight picture is very similar to a M4/M16 sight picture (or any similar peep sight for that matter) and feel beefy and rugged. I found it nice that two different size rear apertures were included. I haven't sighted in yet due to weather, but am looking forward to putting the sights through their paces.

Installed this set on my Marlin 1894C. Couldn't be easier to install and the white stripe really stands out. I turned the rear aperture in all the way and the gun shoots to POA at 25 yds. with my 38 Special practice/small game loads without changing the windage. Took a real beginner out shooting and he could keep all his shots within a six-inch circle at 25 yds. Expensive, but worth the money.

Slightly disappointed.

Finally received the set and was anxious to install them. Despite being told the would work on marlin-built guns with the front sight directly dovetailed to the barrel, they will NOT. Be very careful if you order these. The front sight needs two drilled and tapped holes in the barrel. So if you have a marlin or marlin- built store branded gun, check was set up you have before ordering. I do not fault Brownells for this but there was definitely so incorrect info being passed on.

Not bad, but not the best

Got these for a Marlin-built store branded rifle. Says "Marlin" on it with the store brand. But the front sight is dovetailed to the barrel and the front sight with the set screws on with no other option included to mount the front sight without drilling and tapping. Seems a bit " short sighted" to me. The rear will mount fine and may possibly work with the aftermarket front sight already cobbled on the barrel but that's not what the SET was purchased for. The customer wants the XS front sight so i will work a miracle somehow.

I hope they're worth it...

Haven't received them yet as they are backordered. Had to reorder due to some issue with them not being shipped. I have used ghost rings on several guns and a family member wanted these for his deer rifle. Ghost rings are fast and accurate. If i had any critique of these would be they need protective wings front and rear. Other than that, i expect the sights to be excellent .....if they ever come off of backorder.
