Lightweight scope rail with backup iron sights mounts to Marlin lever rifles without drilling and trapping. Features a large light-gathering rear ghost ring and high-visibility front post sight for fast sight acquisition during day or low-light conditions. Rear ghost ring is fully adjustable for windage and elevation, and includes interchangeable .191" and .230" diameter apertures for fine-tuning accuracy. One-piece front sight has easy-to-use .100" wide, white-line post. Rail accepts Picatinny or Weaver-style mounts. Extra-long design allows scope mounting directly over the receiver, or forward over the barrel with intermediate eye relief optics or red-dot sights. Requires removal of factory rear sight. Gunsmith installation recommended.

It’s the bomb for 1895 Marlin

I have this on several JM Marlins and you_cannot go wrong with this! I also have converted several of my “Scout” rifles to mount a conventional scope on, finest kind!

Great product

I use it for lever action metallic silhouette & hunting. Easy fitting & it's great that thread locker is included. I wish there was a 3rd even smaller aperture. Also wish it had click adjustments, but that would add complexity and price.

Great Upgrade!

My Marlin 1894 CSBL came with this set installed. Liked it so much I ordered two more sets for a new Marlin 1894C and set up with a Leupold Scout scope in QD rings and for a Marlin 1894 44 mag. Had to file the mounting pillar hole on one rail so the rear mounting screws would line up on 1 set- about a 30 second job with a small round file and totally hidden anyway. Sights are a great upgrade over the standard buckhorns.Sight-in was quick, looks great & functions even better. Love these things!!

Huge Improvement over Factory Sights

Once installed this sight is great! They have install videos on their website/youtube which really helped. The written directions included are decent as well. I could not remove the factory rearsight with the plastic punch they included and used a brass punch instead. The only challenging part is removing the old sights especially the dovetail. Putting the new dovetail slot in took a bit of filing to remove enough to fit. Originally I planned on using a red dot with the picatinny but may just use the ring sight by it self. I am very happy with the xs ring sight and would not hesitate to buy again.

On many of my lever guns

I have this system installed on virtually all of my Marlin 336's and1895's. Six in total. Great sight picture, rock solid and adaptable. If there was an easy way to make the peep sight adjustable in the field that would be an amazing addition. Not required though. Wish there was a Browning BLR version.

Great system

Install wasn't hard at all. And it is 10x better than the factory sights. I installed this on my 1895GS. What made me pick these sites was the ability to use the rail mount to put a scope on if wanted and these sights improved the shoot ability so much I currently don't plan on adding a scope. I have zero complaints, I have been using these sights for over a year now and I love them.

Very high quality fit and finish

I purchased this product to replace my Skinner peep sight that I was never quite satisfied with. Very high quality product with superior fit and finish. Installation was very strait forward and XS gunsmith videos are available on XS website.

Works just as advertised

I have 2 allready one on my 30as and one on my 1895GG. Works great on those two and I hate Marlin stock sights.

Dinged up and missing a screw but...

I don't know how the rail got a few dings on it the way it was packed in a plastic tube, and it was missing one screw for the front sight which Brownells sent out right away. I really didn't want to waste my time returning it for a few dings. Despite that I really like this system. It's easy to install and target acquisition is quick. Plus it makes my new 1895 ABL look awesome!
