Beautiful flat bits
Because the 22 bit Starter set has been out of stock for weeks now, I made my own set by ordering this add-on pack, the box n tray combo, and magnetic LE handle “a la carte”. Actually cost a few bucks less lol.
A nice addition to the starter set
I added these to my Starter Set to fill out a few areas where that set didn't have the right bit for the screw. So far I have been very happy with the entire set. I think only the super-thin slots on some firearm screws is about all I won't tackle, as these sets don't have a lot of the paper-thin blades those guns call for. For storage, I drilled out the bottoms of the short holes in the tall side of the Starter Set carrying case and added a backer underneath, and then I cut/glued in a .22 caliber MTM cartridge case box to fit into the open well area to separate and hold the shorter bits, so now all of the bits from both the Starter and Add-on sets will sit in the original Starter Set case for easy transport and use. Since I have started using gunsmith-specific screwdrivers I have not buggered up a single screw on any of a myriad of firearms, something that can't be said about my early attempts with ill-fitting tools I was using for minor gun smithing or cleaning takedowns. Stock or grip removals, revolver cylinder or sideplate removals, scope installs, etc. all have come out looking great. You sure can save some $$ and use your Lowes/Home Depot tools to do the job...and when you're done the screw slots in your gun often look exactly like you used Lowes/Home Depot tools for the job. They're your guns, it's your choice. But if you care about how they look, or about the maximum possible resale value should you decide to sell one, think about getting the right set of screwdriver bits and you won't be sorry.
Very Good Screwdrivers
I ordered these to complete a set I already had and had been using for several years. It turned out my set was to old for what I wanted to do and got many of the same bits. However, if you know what you are doing, these are great screwdrivers. I have read negative reviews on these. It is kind of like students in my shop classes, some of them could ruin an anvil. If you use them right, they will serve you for years, if not you will have ruined screw heads, scratched guns, etc. They are a good product. I returned this set to bite the bullet and order the largest set.

Add on bit set
I finally added on to my half set of bits after 25 years. I dont use them regularly, just once in awhile. They work great, but the magnet could be a little stronger. Also, kit does not include bits for screw slots as narrow as Browning A5 screws. That requires a separate set.
Do not fit screws on my rifle
Almost none of these bits fit any screw on my gun. I did manage to get one or two to go into a screw slot but it was not a good fit and I don't trust it enough to use it. I have a Marlin 1894 in 357 magnum. The slots on the heads of the screws are more narrow than the tip of the bits. It's like trying to put a brick into a toaster. Other than the magnetic properties, all the Magna tip bits are no different than any regular bit I've bought at Lowe's or Home-depot. Very disappointed.
