Purchased this for my Winchester SXP shotgun with a 24" barrel, added a 10 round Choate magazine tube extension, used this clamp to make it extra rigid.
I like it.
I have units on both an 870 and 1000. I attach an Inforce light. I use both in competition and tactical training. Yes you need to make sure the screws are straight and tightened evenly. They are made precisely. They need to be mounted with care. At first I thought they were a little pricey, but the precision is why.
Best Barrel Clamp for the Money
This is the most awesome barrel clamp I have. It beats the TacStar clamp that came with my mag extension. It's cheaper than the magazine clamp made by Mesa Tactical, and the Mesa Tactical 3" rails WILL fit this clamp. If you can't find the Nordic rails, the Mesa rails will work just fine. I have it on my Remington 870 and plan to get more for my two Mossberg Shotugns. It also has no play whatsoever. You see, the Remington 870 needs a clamp like this if you put on a magazine extension because the magazine threads are so shallow. It helps keep the platform stable. It's big, beefy, and strong. Now, it's no lightweight, so keep that in mind. Personally, I prefer a strong part over saving two or three ounces anyway.
Well constructed and easy to install
The barrel clamp worked perfectly on a 12 gauge M2. The only complaint I have is the lack of instructions on proper torque. Other shooters recommended hand tight with an allen wrench because this clamp has to come off each time for complete disassembly of the shotgun for cleaning. It has large contact areas for the barrel and magazine clamp to provide the necessary support and not distort.

This clamp fit my Remington 1100 with tube extension first time - no issues - no worries. Looks great and functions well... does not vibrate off during shooting. Highly recommend.
Presisely machined & sturdiest available
UNDERSTAND THIS MAY PERMANENTLY MARK FINISH WHEN USED. I Mounted clamp to a Benelli Nova Tactical w/ext. mag. Fit is perfect, does not shift. Slimmest and strongest design I've found(I'd use it as a club before using the poly buttstock!). Now my light doesn't shift when firing,and it looks "clean" too. This replaced a lower priced "universal" clamp manufactured by a different company. Wish Id saved money & bought this 1st!

I still think the quality is impeccable but I wanted to update that when installed get it tighter then you would think is normal or it will move under recoil.

Mounted on 870 w/Nordic mag. ext. Have Surefire G2/shock isolation bezel/clicker tailcap in Vltor Scout mount. Nordice clamp/rail is absolutely beautifully machined. Fit is perfect. puts light right where you need it. Gun still handles smoothly w/my combo. Couldn't be happier. Gonna try swapping it to my M1 Super 90 and see how it flys w/that. If good, will order another.
