Light must be exactly 1.0" on the nose
I had a light which measured 0.96" in diameter, and I thought "that's close enough, it will probably work." I was wrong - it was nowhere close to being tight in the holder. Don't get this unless your light is _exactly_ 1.0" diamater (or 0.8 if you're using the inner spacer).
Note that the light is held offset from the rail - so if you want the light on the left or right side of your barrel, you would still mount this on the TOP picatinny rail.
For any product like this, be aware that a general purpose flashlight isn't build to the withstand the recoil for firearm mounted use, and is likely to fail faster than a dedicated weapon light. This is a not a defect with the mount.
Review
I bought this product and I can open cause I was working, yesterday night I opened and began to adjust the flashlight and it broke. It my first experience with the product.
Decent for the Money
I have three of these and they work great. Nice tight fit. Just be advised not to torque the clamp screws too tightly or the plastic will crack.
