Clunky but lightweight
I know that most choose different mounts nowadays, but I've always liked the viking tactics brand as well as i love how lightweight the mount is. Also theres a bunch of different colors. These are large, but its perfect for what I need and can accomodate a lot of lights.
I would recommend
Great product fit my Surefire e-series perfect and also with the shim out fit my s&w tac light as well great product would recommend.
Great Mount
The Viking mount is very light weight, and the reducer allows me to use it with my favorite tactical flashlight, the Fenix TK22, also sold by Brownells. I was a little concerned going into the deal because this mount is a polymer product, but not all polymers are created equal, and this is solidly constructed. The TK22 and this mount are a perfect match because both are not only excellent products, but both are so light weight, it's really not a problem leaving the set permanently attached to the rifle. My previous weapon light setup was so heavy, I was constantly taking it on and off based on whether it was daylight or not, and that of course makes the gun balance in two different ways, which isn't good to train on since you want to keep your equipment standardized at all times... and of course when you need the light in an emergency, it won't be attached! One time I even lost the QD knob off my previous mount when stowing it off the rifle thus making it impossible to use, which pretty much sealed the deal for me to seek out a new weapon light system, which resulted my current set up with the Viking. I made a great choice by going with Viking!!!
The Right Tool!
This is a very sturdy light mount. I paired it up with a Surefire G2X LED light. Both now live on the quad rail of my Rock River LAR. The mount easily slips onto any Picatinny rail and cinches in place with the use of multiple Hex Screws (Allen wrench included). I suggest using a light with a 1 " thickness. I looked at several tactical light options and this worked out best for me. The cost is right and it will stand up to anything short of a sledgehammer. AIT
Product Review w/ 5.11 flashlight
Product is strong and does have some "give" to it. I used this to mount a 5.11 ATAC L1 tactical light on my AR rail. The light fits snugly with the metal clip and anti-roll ring on it. That light is not going to move. The mount works great (especially for this $68 light)and I wouldn't hesitate to purchase again. The mount is low profile and doesn't bulk up the apperance or take up a lot of rail real estate. Save yourself $100s and get this mount and a low cost/high lumen light.
viking tactical light mount
Im glad i bought this mount, it strong its lite and it offsets the rail, so can line up with your grip if u deside to. and it cost less than alot of other mounts that do the same thing. I would buy again.
Simple, Funtional
I have this light mount on an AR-15 and an AR-10 platform. The mount is simple but very funtional. What more can you ask for when it comes to firearms equipment.
Fantastic and simple
I used this to mount a PT2L Streamlight on my Rock River, it's compact, it's light, it's flawless. The light hangs down enough that I can turn it on/off with my thumb while using my vertical foregrip.
Great Product
Works well, attaches to accessory rails solidly, hold's flashlight solidly. The only con: because it extends directly out to the side, it may not work on any accessory rail that is slightly recessed.
Solid and simple.
I like this product because it was easy to install, feels solid, and works well. I have the vtac light mount on an ar15. The mount aligns my flashlight off/on switch perfectly with my thumb from foregrip position. Also, it puts the center of my flashlight beam directly in the middle of my sights.
