Options for bulk lead shot appear to be quite limited these days, but of what's available, this looks to be the most consistent in both size and shape. Whether the "magnum" designation is truly meaningful - I think the individual reloader will need to decide. Regardless, this does what I need it to do, the price is competitive - and it still comes in a useful, reusable bag.

I've been reloading shotgun shells for competitive clay target shooting for more than 40-years. I've watched US-made shot slowly disappear for the market while prices steadily climb. Today (heading into 2025) quite a few experienced reloaders / handloaders say, "It is no longer 'worth' reloading--you won't save money". Sadly components have gotten pricey. However I still shoot my reloads in every instance I can (some tournaments don't allow them) because I feel the quality is better than "Val-U-Pak" / whitebox shells and the felt recoil is certainly less. Lawerence has always made high-quality shot which runs true-to-specificized size (some brands, like "EAGLE" run small--so measure what you buy and plan accordingly). I'm especially jazzed to buy US-made products so I I'm happy to share that Brownells provides a great product and when I bought it on sale, it was obtained at as good a price as I can hope to find anywhere. I belong to 4 different gun clubs. None can get Lawence Shot. In addition, the shipping of this heavy product to my home, which was performed quickly was also much appreciated. Brownells is a good outfit. Lawrence makes good shot.

Use this for shooting clays! Reloads easy! I use in 7/8 oz loads to 1 1/8 loads with good results. Expensive these days thanks to Bozo Biden et all. When compared to purchasing Factory ammo still very cost effective!

Lawrence Brand is consistent and reliable in size and roundness. It is just a same that a bag of 25 pound now cost almost a hundred dollars. Sad.
