Great tool
Well worth the money. Clearly above any similar products, more accurate than cartridge style lasers. Easy to use, once you figure out to lube the o-rings for different calibers. I was concerned there would be difficulty with the green dot being used with green dot lasers or optics, but this is a slightly different color than any I've used. Sighted in 6 arms in about 2 hours, I figure I've saved hundreds of rounds of ammo and hours of time. Paid for itself in one evening. Made in USA (important to me)
Easy to use and very accurate
I bought this because I used a couple of the cheaper, cartridge lasers. They were ok, but I still wasn't getting the accuracy that I wanted. I bought this and I am thrilled. We're talking the rifles (MP-15's) and my handgun to the range this weekend to fine tune, but I expect to be making very little adjustments.
SL-100 Laser Boresighter
I have used it on two rifles and one semi automatic pistol. Was surprised how easy and how well it worked. I would definitely recommend it.
Excellent product & durable
I have had this SL-100 in my shop since 2003. Excellent product.
Great boresight
I was originally worried about spending so much on a boresight as I have been using a cheaper model for some time, but this thing is well worth it. The o-ring configuration takes a little more time, but you can leave the .223 o-ring on the main rod and the .308 o-ring on the jag and save some time. The laser is easy to see, even outside, and the battery lasts forever. Concept Development Corp. also has great customer service. I had a problem with the device that was entirely my fault, and despite this they fixed my boresight and shipped it back to me for free. This device has definitely paid for itself.
I'll make it easy. It works!
Our gun shop has used the SL-500 for 5 years. Changed batteries once. Customers come in and thank us for the bore sighting on their weapons. One gentlemen that hunts abroad was grateful that he only had to use 2 or three rounds to fine tune his rifle. Awesome piece of equipment!
Best on the market
I have used this laser bore sighter for the last 2 years plus in a full time gunsmith shop and it gets plenty of use everyday. No problems. Excellent company to deal with for extra thread on adapters. I just purchased their SL-500 and it is a homerun. I would not recommend this laser to my competitors! :-) RH
Works, but not fantastic
My LaserLyte with the arbor system finally died of mechanical failure (on/off switch is a terrible design), and I couldn't find a replacement for just the unit itself. So I decided to try this. I used it on a .300 blk build with a Dead Air brake and a 9mm PCC with a thread cap and a 9mm PCC with an A2. The laser was plenty bright indoors and I like the simple on-off switch. And overall it "worked". The issues: There is no coding at all for the O-rings that adapt to different barrel sizes so you have to compare them to the diagrams in the manual and hope you are correct. The "magnetic" centering isn't that powerful. It was really easy to detach and then the unit starts wobbling and rotating and you have to start over. I believe if the gun was clamped in a gun vise or sitting on bags that wouldn't be as much of a probem but it was very annoying trying to freehand it while adjusting sight screws. In the end it got me close enough to do proper sighting in at the range, but I liked my LaserLyte better. I would probably give this 3.5 stars if I could.
Would you recommend this?
Yes, I would recommend to a friend
It’s ok
I’m not a fan of laser bore sights. However this product is well made and kind of did the job.
