LABRADAR DOPPLER CHRONOGRAPH

LABRADAR DOPPLER CHRONOGRAPH Reviews & Ratings

The LabRadar Doppler Chronograph provides handloaders with data on the velocity of their handloads with a degree of accuracy and ease of use not found on traditional chronographs. not available to the consumer market until now. That’s because, unlike your dad’s chronograph that uses a pair of photoelectric sensors, the LabRadar Doppler Chronograph works uses radar to measure the velocity of the projectile coming from your rifle, pistol, or shotgun - even works on airgun pellets and arrows. The LabRadar unit sits next to the shooter, so you've got easy access to the controls, and points toward the target. No more shooting through small screens, and the LabRadar is totally unaffected by sunlight, fluorescent light, or other lighting conditions.

  • Measures velocities at distances up to 100 yards
  • Records velocities up to 3,900 ft. per second with 0.1 percent accuracy
  • Works with subsonic, transonic or supersonic projectiles
  • Records an almost unlimited number of shots/strings
  • All data is downloadable to PC
  • Powered by six AA batteries
  • Mounts to any standard tripod with 1/4"-20 tpi threads

The LabRadar Doppler Chronograph records shot series and calculates highs, lows, averages, standard deviation and extreme spread. It even calculates IDPA power factors. Note: The LabRadar is available in two versions - the standard model for North America, Australia, and New Zealand, plus a separate, regulatory-compliant European model. Be sure to order the correct model for your region.

Labrador Chronograph
Received the item on 02/24. Still reading up on it Will try it out next week Weather permitting. This unit is a serious upgrade over my 90s era Crhony. The memory storage will be a great upgrade.

works like a champ
took it to the range and setup was easy. shot about 30 rounds it captured all but one round. The data written on the SD card is very helpful and great for getting your power factor and verifying your load for USPSA use.

LabRadar
Pretty easy to set up, I haven't completed many calibers yet, but 22lr, 45 Win Mag & 44 Auto Mag work. I think it is going to be a winner.

A New Labradar fan!
Not my first chronograph, but it is far different than the Ohler-type chrono's I've used in the past. Instructions were simple and direct, unit worked perfectly first time out. I wouldn't recommend this for a beginning chrono user, but no reason why a newby couldn't learn it easily enough. Instead of fixed sensors you shoot over, it uses doppler radar. Like the police type only for bullets, LOL. I didn't have any trouble getting it to read 9mm and 22LR pistol on an indoor range. It also picked up shots from the lanes next to me, which is an adjustment the unit is capable of eliminating but I didn't this time because I wanted to see how long the batteries ran when the unit wasn't in standby. (not transmitting). Over an hour of range time and the rechargeable Eneloops I used (unit takes six AAs) still had two bars left. Adding an external power supply is easy. Just plug one into the USB. Even so, I had no trouble picking my shots out of it as the display was pretty quick. I'm happy!

Shipping
Cannot comment on product. It took a few day order processing but once shipped it was here in a flash! I guess I am happy with the EDGE program. I bought the LabRadar based on friends who own and are delighted with the product. I was going to try the Garmin...But I am not getting any younger so time matters!

Buy once, cry once.
Works great, easy to set up. Just had to change from meters to feet per second. Great info for my reloading projects. Nothing to shoot but the target. Very low stress not having to aim through a small triangle.
