S&W J-frame carry spring kit.
Spring kit was easy to install but the double action pull weight was a little disappointing at 9lbs. 10oz.! A friend with arthritis still could not fire the pistol in double action configuration. Conversely, the single action pull was measured at 2 lbs. 8 oz. A little light unless much practice to be familiar in a tense situation!
Would you recommend this? Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Overall good product!
I installed this on a 642 that I have had for over 10 years. I had been looking to make this purchase for a few months & finally got around to doing it. It made a noticeable difference in the trigger pull! Before the install I put the gun on a digital Lyman trigger pull gage (max pull weight of 12 lbs) and I never could get it to register b/c the pull weight was so heavy which tells me that it was at least 12 lbs. After install the trigger pull weight came in consistently at 9 lbs 4 oz with a much smoother pull. YouTube has several videos that are very helpful with walking you through the breakdown of the revolver, what springs to remove, pitfalls to avoid, install of the new springs, and reassembly & function testing. The one I found most helpful was a video by Hammer Striker. It took me less than 30 minutes to complete the work. Quick tip: use a properly sized screwdriver when removing the screws on the side plate, it will save you a lot of headache! I gave the product a 4/5 only b/c I had about 3 light primer strikes on a box of Speer Lawman practice ammo (ammo that has a reputation for hard primers). I then ran 50 rounds of Speer Gold Dot duty ammo though the gun and had zero malfunctions! I will be shooting more rounds through it soon to make sure these springs do not affect the overall reliability of the gun. This has been my first experience installing Apex products. I am pleased with the ease of installing the parts & the quality of their product. I will be looking into purchasing their other offerings for my M&P Shield.

Apex Tactical J-Frame Spring Kit
I purchased this as a hopeful fix for my wife's Airweight J-Frame. She was complaining that the factory trigger was too heavy and hurt her finger when she shot. Had to dress the end of one of the springs as it did not have the flat pressed end - was just clipped off, but this was easily fixed in 15 seconds with a torch and pliers. There was a significant and improved difference in trigger weight, and cycling the action is much faster on repetitive shots. I would like to see a lighter version, possibly 5-7 pound kit, as this firearm does not have a safety device that is spring reliant. In all, great kit. I just ordered another two: one for mine, and one for a friend that is becoming envious...
