Good Value, fitting required
Slide rubs on both factory barrel and Lone Wolf match grade barrel. Need fitting or use reduced power recoil spring with the glock factory frame to cycle properly. Otherwise, good price, good finish, Everything else function properly.
G17 slide with window
I have used this slide on a g19 and bought 2 for the g17. I really like the window it's nice when you have an aftermarket fluted barrel to show it off a little. The only problem I had was one of the g17 slides had a small burr on the top side of the extractor cutout right at the end on the inner lip. It cause the extractor to bind up and get stuck. A few passes with a fine flat file cleaned it up in just about a minute as i was being careful to not remove any extra material only the burr and now it works just as great as my other ones. 1 minor flaw that was easily remedied it must have slipped through the qc check but nothing to be mad about. Would definitely buy again.
17 Slide Brownells
Just wanted to give an opinion so the rating doesn't really mean a lot. Looking at this slide I was thinking about finishing a Poly 80 with aftermarket slide but I just can't make myself like the grooves on the top of the slide at the muzzle end. This would be so much better with the slide only cut on the side surfaces. IMO.
great slide at a great price
Looks good works well. Needed to order a channel sleeve. My unit did not come with one. Had a little trouble installing the channel sleeve... very tight.. Cleaned channel with some alcohol and buffed sleeve slightly with some fine sandpaper .. Installed easily with Brownells tool . Installed all new internal parts throughout .. Tested with Glock, Lone wolf ,,P80 ver1 and ver 2, frames .. all check out ok..Recommended buy. Suggest bow tie slide racker for cool look.
Pretty Happy
This slide looks awesome! For the price you absolutely cant beat it. I only have one issue with it which is the extractor plunger hole is way too tight. I read some other reviews and saw a couple people had the same issue but it sounds like a little sandpaper will fix that. Otherwise Im very impressed. The serrations are deep and pretty sharp. Definitely sharper than on the OEM slides but its not an issue. I really like the top cut as well.
Brownell's Glock 17 Slide
I purchased this slide to top off a Polymer80 lower build. The fit and finish of the slide is excellent. The slide takes all of the original slide internals and the stock Glock night sights fit like a glove. The front and rear serrations provide for a secure way to manipulate the slide with no slipping of the hand when hot, cold, wet or dry,. I have only one slight problem with the slide. When attaching the Glock front sight, the relief machined for the front sight screw was not enough to snug the screw down properly using a standard or even with a thin walled driver. I sent Brownell's a picture and recommended they cut a little more radius. I am pleased with my choice of slide and will be making another purchase for my Glock 19
