IRON SIGHT SLIDE FOR GLOCK 17

Our Iron Sight Slide for Glock®17® Gen3 enables you to build a custom Glock®-style pistol - or rebuild an old one - with a slide that sports distinctive customized cocking serrations. The unique front serrations aid in manipulating the slide under stress, especially for quick chamber checks AND for clearing the occasional jam. Both the front and rear serrations are cut to the same depth as the Glock® factory slide serrations to ensure no loss in overall slide rigidity. The top edges and the front around the muzzle area are chamfered to reduce the risk of snagging on clothing and to make holstering the pistol easier. Like all Brownells slides, the Iron Sight model for Gen3 Glock® 17 is precision machined from solid 17-4 stainless steel billet to factory specifications inside so it is compatible with any factory or aftermarket Gen3 internal components. Outside, there's a Glock® factory rear sight dovetail and front sight tenon cut ready for any factory or aftermarket sights you choose. This is the perfect companion "top-half" for a custom pistol built on a Polymer80 80% frame.

You can get your Brownells Iron Sight Slide for Gen3 Glock® 17 with a solid top and distinctive wraparound front cocking serrations - swipe your paw along the front of the slide and you can't avoid racking it. The Iron Sight slide is also available with a window cutout on top between the front side serrations. The window aids in heat dissipation to keep the barrel cool during extended fire, AND if you have an upgraded barrel with a contrasting finish or a unique exterior pattern (fluting, spirals, "flames," etc.) it'll help your gun stand out from the matte black sameness on the firing line!

Porting is KING

I’ve always had good quality from these slides. Ended up getting a ported barrel and it’s now my favorite setup. Definitely pick one up while they are still on sale.

Excellent product

Slide is well manufactured and the finish is of very high quality. Fit and finish is excellent and all internal parts fit easily. I have purchased 3 of these slides and installed them on Polymer80 lowers with no problems. I will definitely purchase again for future builds.

Clearly a better Slide

I thought a slide was a slide - i.e. they have the specs and they make it to spec, done. And maybe some additional fancy milling you pay extra for. But I was wrong. I have tried my hand a couple of Polymer80 builds and I have ordered slides from 3 different companies and I have to say Brownells' slides are at the top of my list for machining, quality/type of finish (nitride) and good, close tolerances which give a nice rattle-free lockup (and thus better accuracy). If I need any additional slides, Brownells will be my only source. Overall an excellent product for the money!

Solid and a BANG for your buck

Bought this gen 3 Glock 17 slide for my gen 3 frame (not P80). Fits perfectly and looks great as well. The serrations in the front are great. Not too rough and not too little where you cant get a good press check. The window is cool (still havent shot so I havent tested). Definitely a bang for your buck if going the lower price route for your Glock 17 (19). Ive read multiple reviews and most have bought it for their P80 builds. So since Im sure some have wondered if it would fit good with a regular Glock frame, it does. Hope this review helps. I would defiantly buy another but next time with the RMR cut. I guess Ill have to start a new build after this one. Stay safe everyone.

Superb quality and value

Everything fit like a glove. TruGlo sights bearcreek barrel upper slide kit from Brownells worked great. Cycles and fit my Polymer80 . Great addition to my 22tcm9r upper. Just waiting on a Brownells glock 22 upper and kit to turn it into a triad lower. CDS TACTICAL GRIPS

Great value

Slide is tight no wobble looks great on my gun and went together like a dream only thing I noticed I would like to bring up is that before installing the channel liner you need to take a qtip with Alcohol and clean the channel befor installing channel liner I crushed the first channel liner than cleaned it real good and it slid right into place second try would definitely recommend

JUST ORDERED #2! Great price/quality

I ordered this to top off my P80 full size, and it works PERFECTLY. All standard Glock parts went right in. The channel liner is a little snug but it does fit. It takes a little finagling to get it started. But it does fit. So get a liner tool and dont give up. Other than that its PERFECT! Fit and function is great. Finished slide assembly, lubed the rails, slid it on my V2 P80, racked it, slid back and forth the way it should, went out and loaded it, pulled the trigger and BOOM! Pulled the trigger again and BOOM! and AGAIN and AGAIN and AGAIN and about 100 more times. No Cycling issues no firing issues no ejecting issues. Absolutely AWESOME! So for the money $164.99 on sale, you CANT beat it! So what are you waiting for? Pull the trigger on this slide already, you WONT REGRET IT! I dont and I just bought another. So you better hurry before these say OUT OF STOCK or they go back to normal price! Also one more thing, I also recommend the Brownells Victory first Threaded G17 barrel. Which is also on sale right now. I ordered two of those too. They fit and function great with this slide, plus theyre accurate, made of 416R stainless, nitrided, and CHEAP! $117.99 And the Glock Night sight set 6.5mm work good with this slide. Tritium insets and theyre made of steel. $67

Pretty Happy

This slide looks awesome! For the price you absolutely cant beat it. I only have one issue with it which is the extractor plunger hole is way too tight. I read some other reviews and saw a couple people had the same issue but it sounds like a little sandpaper will fix that. Otherwise Im very impressed. The serrations are deep and pretty sharp. Definitely sharper than on the OEM slides but its not an issue. I really like the top cut as well.
