IOSSO NYFLEX RIFLE BORE BRUSHES

IOSSO NYFLEX RIFLE BORE BRUSHES Reviews & Ratings

Tough, long-lasting bore brushes thoroughly clean handguns, rifles and shotguns. Distinctive blue Nyflex bristles flex more than bronze, letting you scrub back and forth without fear of getting the brush stuck in the bore. Easily scrubs out all types of fouling, and the brass wire brush core won’t scratch the bore. Handgun and rifle brushes have 8-32 male threads, and shotgun brushes have 5⁄16-27 male threads. Sold as single brushes.

Great Brushes
I love these brushes. I will admit that the first pass or two are very tight, but then they really shine. I have used these brushes for a few years now and wouldnt use any others. I have used then on stubborn copper fouling and carbon build up. They get into the lands & groves and remove a lot of stuff other brushes didnt get. Ive gotten a long life out of each one.

Great Brush
This brush is heavy duty. It is very tight at first. After a few passes, the brush is riding in the grooves and cleaning out Any fouling that is in the barrel. I have been using the same brush for a few weeks and it doesnt seem to be wearing down as fast as other nylon or brass brush has. The bristles catch the lands and grooves when pushed or pulled. I have used these brushes with iosso and J&B rubbbing compound. They hold up well.

Too tight for me
I tried two different caliber Iosso brushes in different guns and they were both too tight to the point of bowing the cleaning rod into contact with the rifling (not a good thing) and requiring pounding the rod through with a rubber mallet. A few passes didnt make pushing the brush through the bore markedly easier for me either. Ive gone back to softer brushes and letting the chemicals do the work.

Surprised
Not happy about this review, these brushes give a false positive reading for copper. Was cleaning my rifle for the first time using Bore Tech Eliminator and Iosso brushes, I scrubbed the barrel for a few days, my bore scope showed carbon but no copper, went to my gun smith that had a really expensive bore scope and showed nothing in the barrel, perfectly clean. Went home took a patch soaked it with Bore Tech Eliminator and wiped the Iosso brush and it turns blue, went back to using Bore Tech brushes and have had no patches turning blue.
