I had a custom 308 Win. rifle built in 1991 and had the builder work up a load for 165 grain Nosler Ballistic tips. He developed a load using IMR 3031 that gives me consistent .25 three shot groups. This rifle also shoot 168 gr Federal Gold Metal Match into .30 three shot groups. The developed load is just under the maximum charge listed in the Nosler reloading manual. I've gone through a dozen or more one pound bottles and the accuracy has remained the same even with different lot numbers.

IMR3031
Ive been using IMR3031 for years. After many trials this is what worked best for my .243. Paired with a 75 grain hollow point bullet it has been consistent since the 1980,s.
Flexible Powder
I've found this powder to be very versatile with my caliber collection. i've used it to reload 223, 30-30, 308, 30-06, and 45-70. this powder is easy to measure. 4 sticks of the powder measures a consistant .1 powder weight. it pushes my 45-70's 405gr slug at 1900fps and throws my 308's 175gr pills at velocities close to my competitive varget powder loads. been very happy with this powder. if you like to consolidate the powder you use for multiple calibers to as few powders as possible, this is a great choice.
