The HS503CU is a 20mm micro sight designed for rifle and carbine applications. HS503CU features Holosun’s Solar Failsafe technology and our Multi-Reticle System (MRS) which includes a 2MOA dot and a 65 MOA Circle. Holosun’s Red Super LED allows for up to 50k hour battery life with 10 daylight and 2-night vision compatible reticle intensity settings.

The HS503CU housing is made from 6061 aluminum and includes both a lower 1/3 co-witness mount (1.63”) and a low mount (.75”) for low-comb height rifle applications. Additional features include Shake Awake technology, rubber lens covers, and a side battery for the 2032 battery. HS503CU is a versatile sight for users of all levels.

Solar Failsafe™

Solar Failsafe Technology is one of many innovations featured on solar-equipped Holosun optics. With Solar Failsafe, if your battery fails you always have a backup power source when natural or artificial light is available. Solar Failsafe is activated while in Auto Mode where reticle intensity is automatically adjusted based on the amount of light the solar cell receives. In brighter conditions you have a brighter reticle and in lower-light conditions the reticle will step down in intensity to match any lighting conditions. On models equipped with a super capacitor, it is possible to run the optic, indefinitely, in daytime and night conditions, by maintaining a charge through the Solar Failsafe System all without a battery.

Shake Awake™

Shake Awake Technology is a standard feature on all current model Holosun optics and serves to extend battery life by deactivating the optic’s LED while not in use. A highly sensitive motion sensor works to detect motion keeping the LED powered on during use. This allows for duty or concealed carry with seamless operation throughout your day or shift. At the end of your day or shift when your firearm is stored, the motion sensor will detect a motionlessness state and after 10 minutes (default setting) Shake Awake Technology powers the LED off until motion is again detected. Shake Awake offers settings from 10 minutes to 12 hours depending on the model and can be deactivated altogether if preferred. The slightest touch of the optic instantly reactivates the LED so your Holosun optic is ready when needed.

Multiple Reticle System

Multi-reticle System (MRS) equipped Holosun optics allow you to determine the type of aiming point you want to use when you want to use it. Holosun optics equipped with MRS let you select a fast sight picture for shorter distances with a 65 MOA circle with 2 MOA dot (rifle optics) or a 32 MOA circle with 2 MOA dot (handgun optics). The large circle can help you obtain a sight picture faster, allows for a hold-over reference, and helps to guide your eye to the 2 MOA dot. The large ring can be deactivated leaving just the 2 MOA dot for an uncluttered sight picture and increased precision. Regardless of your application, Holosun’s Multi-reticle System offers the ultimate in optical sight customization for sportsman and professional users alike.

Super LED

Holosun Super LED technology includes Red, Green, and our latest Gold Dot LEDs providing options that match various environments and personal preferences including red/green color blindness with our Gold Dot. Super LED technology provides a versatile range of reticle intensity settings from night vision-compatible to daylight bright. Holosun Super LEDs have ultra-efficient power usage creating battery like as high as 50,000 hours on certain models. Our Super Green LED is designed to match the wavelength of light that the human eye is most reactive to.

Multilayer Reflective Glass

Holosun’s use of Grade 5 Titanium in certain Elite category optics and laser devices results in unparalleled strength and durability. Holosun Grade 5 Titanium has more than double the tensile strength and has five-times the fatigue strength of 7075 Aluminum. Grade 5 Titanium is also able to withstand the corrosiveness of seawater making Holosun Titanium model optics and lasers suitable for use in maritime environments.

Replacing a Failed Holosun HS403C Solar Red Dot

Back when WWSD (2017/2020) was all the rage, I built one of these Stoner rifles and used the suggested Holosun Red Dot for the optic. It was a perfect match up of rifle and sighting optic! 2 & 1/2 years into shooting this wonderful rifle, I picked up some "Wonky/Iffy" ammunition as it was all I could get at the time. One of those cartridges made me think I had blown up the rifle!! It felt as if the round had been over charged by a factor of 4 or 5. After changing my underwear and wiping my nether regions, I tore the rifle completely down for inspection to ensure I had no barrel bulges and no receiver cracks/bulges/warpage. I thought I had gotten lucky 'til I saw the front glass of the Red dot. It was at a 45 degree angle in the tube?! Now, I know the Holosun's front glass comes from the factory with about a 20 degree cant to it. They cover this in the owners manual,as it needs this cant to center the dot/circle in the tube when looking through the optic. OK, I get it, a 20 degree cant is from the factory, but a 45 degree cant? That has to be due to the non standard recoil event it endured. OK, Maybe not 100% Holosun's fault, but still, it failed from a large recoil event? To make a long story shorter, I spoke to two service representatives and both reps. failed to live up to Brownells "Guaranteed. Forever." policy. THEN I got ahold of a young lady by the name of Braedi and SHE saved the day for Brownells! Braedi informed me that "Yes, Brownells "Guaranteed. Forever." policy covers the problem", I was having. Braedi set it up so I had the replacement Holosun in under 10 working days. (it would have been sooner but the Holosun was on "back order") Braedi handled the situation so professionally that I had to get in touch with her supervisor so I could brag on Braedi's service. In today's "caveat emptor" world it is so seldom to find a service representative that believes in what they are doing. I'm going to say it again, here, to Braedi's supervisor, Robin; that some sort of "perk" needs to be found, for Robin to offer to Braedi, to let her know that her efforts for Brownells are truly appreciated! If not, then one of Brownells competitors, talent scalpers/head hunters is going to come along with an offer that will get Braedi's attention and Brownells WILL LOSE her; to Brownells detriment. Robin, don't let that happen to Braedi, as she brought Brownells "Guaranteed. Forever." policy to life for me, dealing with this Holosun failure. To sum up, Thank you Brownells for having people like Braedi that can leave Brownells customers with a sweet taste in their mouth for making the decision to purchase through Brownells instead of somewhere else! Reliable and affordable

I've got one on my BRN-22 takedown (in green) as well as one on my cz scorpion evo and one on an AR with a magnifier. I'm looking to get another for my new beretta 1301 12ga. It works great on all of them, Ive taken deer with the magnifier combo on my ar, and its a great qd attachment to my 22. I love the things and have yet to have any reason to fault them

WONDERFUL OPTIC FOR THE PRICE!

I LOVE THIS OPTIC. AND I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT. THE PRICE IS A STEAL AND THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE OPTIC IS SUPERB! This was my 1st Holosun optic and I have Aimpoints. I can proudly say that this will not be my last Holosun optic.

Disappointed

The reticle circle was just a line across the bottom the the site picture.

Very disappointed

Ive heard nothing but great things about this optic but mine came defective. The sight adjustments dont work and so Im having to return it. That being said the halls and reticle are very clear and the brightness settings are great.
